I've visited this restaurant several times recently and have yet to be disappointed in the food or service.

The food was fresh, warm, seasoned well, and plated excellently.

The restaurant is very clean in the dinning area and restroom.

The service from the wait staff has been great. Even while being very busy and perhaps being a bit under staffed on a Sunday morning.

The reason I'm giving 4 stars over a 5 is due to a interaction between a higher up (manager/owner not sure to be honest) and the waitress.

Our waitress who was very professional and was very busy, waiting on multiple tables, quickly moved between tables and guests. She was stopped next to my group's table after finally being able to take our food order and serve us coffee. (About 9 minutes wait. I believe)

She apologized for the wait and didn't make excuses. We understood as they were really busy.

After she left the table she was stopped by the manager?

Whoever this was the tone used was rude, loud, and uncalled for in my opinion. I understand when stress is high and your managing multiple staff, customers concerns, and overall seeing the restaurant perform smoothly.

But there is no reason to talk to your staff that way even if they're underperforming. (Which she didn't appear to be.) Especially in front of customers.

A few other dinners appeared to have noticed as well and appeared off put by what they saw.

Love this restaurant food, service, and cleanliness. Would otherwise...

I have been to valley Kitchen before had had an ok experience but this morning was another story. Came in with a group and waited for a table. Then once seated the table, chairs, and floor were all dirty. We asked for them to be cleaned but that came with attitude and a lackluster attempt at cleaning so we were offered a new table. We waited once more. They finally throughly cleaned the table but then sat another party there right in front of us that clearly came in after us. At that point we just walked out. I spoke to the manager, who was also serving at the time, but was only met with an I'll talk to the host.

I have liked this place in the past but the front of house needs some real work. Especially the host! I have worked in plenty to restaurants and having a good host is so important, I hope you can implement some training so more people don't have experiences like this one.

Also if you have a baby be aware they don't have any accommodations for a car seat. So you may have to have another way prepared for your baby to be...

Update!!! Just found out that management has fired one of their best servers, Ashley, over one bad review from and individual who leaves nothing but bad reviews online. Not only did they fire Ashley over some "Karen's" bad online review, but they fired her several weeks before Christmas and she has a young child. I usually go there at least twice a week with family and other retired officers I served with. Not anymore. Shame on Valley Kitchen. Sounds like management made it personal. If it was purely business, than they would not have fired the best and friendliest server over one individual's review. Especially right before Christmas.

Great food and awesome service. Ashley is by far the best server I have ever encountered. She is friendly and always makes sure our drinks are full and food is up to our expectations. People like her are what make a restaurant a great place to dine. She is why my family and friends go there several...

I had heard rave reviews about VK since it opened but we didn't get there until this morning. Everyone was welcoming, the atmosphere is bright and warm and the fantastic menu makes it difficult to choose just one or two good eats. I was really tempted by the shrimp and grits - which I haven't had or seen outside of NOLA, Charleston or Savannah - but finally decided on the fluffy blueberry and ricotta pancakes with lemon curd, blueberries and whipped cream dollops, two sunnyside up eggs, and a mini pot of tea. I chose buttered rye toast instead of the bacon or sausage. My husband ordered the home fries with onions and peppers alongside ham slices, multi-grain toast and a pair of overeasy eggs, coffee and OJ. We were happy with everything, which is rare. We couldn't finish it all ... and can't wait till we're hungry again to enjoy the leftovers. It will be especially nice to dine on the VK patio when winter is over. ☺️

This is my favorite place to enjoy a delicious meal. Great service, wonderful environment, great scenery, everyone is so pleasant, and the food is out of this world amazing. If you’re going there for the first time I suggest getting a waffle with your meal because that in particular is great each time I go to enjoy same top notch food. Their menu has a huge range of food options to fit all your wants and needs. I highly suggest bringing your friends and family to this restaurant. The bathrooms are very clean. Although the parking is quite tight, it is a clear show that due to the constant busy bustle that it is a place everyone wants to experience. Thank you so much Kayla for wonderful service. Valley kitchen in hermitage PA, The restaurant was very clean. The food was great, the staff nice, great place to go out with family! There was a lot of choices for food and Drinks! The servers are very hospitable! The wait time was incredibly long but given it was Mother’s Day and also Sunday they are very popular on the weekends and they are always packed and busy because they present a good product in service. It was well worth the 45 to 60 minute wait for a table! The food came out piping, hot, and fresh bursting with savory down south home flavor! Very filling & their portion sizes are astronomically large, and the prices are fair! This place in the Shenango Valley is a hidden gem. I highly recommend you check them out!
