Woody's Backwater BARge & Grill — Restaurant in Pennsylvania

I really love Woody’s, but wow has the service absolutely sucked this summer.

Great location with good food options, but it’s hard to appreciate any of that when you can’t get an employees attention for service. About 3 times this summer, I’ve gone in with another person and been completely ignored while employees restock supplies, talk to each other, look at their phones, etc.

Went in for drinks and snacks one night and the bartender didn’t know when the kitchen closed.

Last time we went, we walked in and sat at the bar. There were four other customers at the bar and the bartender never acknowledged us. She was organizing napkin holders beside the bar and didn’t look in our direction.

Only when we got up to leave did another employee ask us what we wanted. Nothing anymore!

I will give it another chance next summer and HOPE...

It was a beautiful day so we decided to take the kids to check this place out. Our server was very sweet and prompt. Our appetizer came out with our food so that was a bit disappointing. The soft shell crab sandwich was flavorful. The jerk chicken wrap was a bit too sweet and definetely not enough spice the slaw overpowered everything in the wrap. The kids had tenders which are hard to mess up pretty much anywhere. They only got through half of the bbq bacon burger before wanting to be finished. Overall the food was ok. Their food isn’t great so I wouldn’t come here for that. If you want to come grab a drink and sit by the water that’s what I’d come here for. The bar is cool but the view really isn’t that fantastic. The water looks mucky near you and there’s building surrounding the area.

Ordered the ahi tuna app and while the tuna was okay (the topping was just soy sauce and sesame seeds), the pita bread it came with was terrible tasting. It was not warm, dry and thick. We ended up feeding most of it to the ducks nearby.

I think there’s better views at Rum Runners, Shoreline Grill...
