While strolling down Palafox Street, we came across chef Charles, offering samples of his food right outside his restaurant, Four Seasons Catering & Eatery. After savoring the sample, we decided to have lunch there. We opted for the Saturday special, the BBQ platter.

At the front counter, I had the pleasure of meeting chef Charles’s wife and co-owner, Kelly. As I deliberated over the barbecue sauce, she smiled and suggested the roasted garlic blueberry BBQ sauce. I went with her recommendation.

The BBQ platter offered four choices: barbecue ribs, pulled pork, burnt ends, and andouille sausage. I chose ribs, pulled pork, and burnt ends, along with two sides: fried okra and Cajun potato salad. Everything was made in-house from scratch, and the difference was evident.

After placing our order, we found a table and watched as Jackie, a staff member, delivered our food and ensured we had everything we needed. Jackie stopped at our table several times before our food arrived, just to check on us.

Now, let’s talk about the food. The ribs were incredibly tender and flavorful. The pulled pork was delicious and enjoyable. And the burnt ends were simply the best we’ve ever had! The roasted garlic BBQ sauce was amazing, just as Kelly had suggested.

Whether you’re a local or a visitor, make sure to stop by Four Seasons Catering & Eatery and enjoy their excellent...

Today my fiancè and I had Four Seasons for lunch. He has been here many times before, but this was my first visit.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly. Their hospitality alone is a reason to come here! It is very hard to find restaurants where the employees are genuinely that nice from start to end.

Before we ordered, the owner, Charles told us about one of his specials that sounded out of this world! While I didn't get it today, I will have to return to try it! I got the Cuban and asked how he made it. (I am super picky about Cuban sandwiches). It is AMAZING! As close to a traditional cuban as you can get! And the fries that came with it had the best seasoning! My fiancè got his favorite, fried chicken with mashed potatoes with brown gravy and lime beans! He ate it all.

Before our meal, they gave us a sample of their gumbo (which they do for their new guests. That's pretty cool!) Charles also brought us a sample of his southwest soup, which was also out of this world!

From start to finish, the service and food were excellent. Shame on me for not getting here sooner! I am now a HUGE fan and can't wait to try more...

I can’t say enough great things about Four Seasons. We had our work Christmas party there this year and it was incredible! Our group had the crab cake appetizers and options of fillet mignon, blackened grouper with shrimp, or Smoked Gouda artichoke chicken for the entrée. Everybody loved their meals. And the cheesecake is homemade and delicious. Charles and Kelly, the owners, are wonderful hosts and have an amazing story on how the restaurant started. The food here is so delicious and the environment is cozy and comfortable. We will definitely be back for more.

Update 2/10/21 Another great 4 Seasons experience. I took my parents to lunch for mom's birthday. Charles and Kelly welcomed my parents with a "First time you are our guest. Next time you are family." Mom said, I guess we will be doing dishes next time :) Mom and I had the beef tips and dad had the chicken & dumplings. Then banana pudding came out with a candle and everyone singing Happy Birthday. Mom loved it and everything was delicious. I took a chicken sandwich home to my wife. She raved about it. I couldn't recommend Four...

I was across the street waiting for my # to come up for vehicle registration. It was lunch time and I came here for a quick bite to eat. The chef welcomed another person and I who walked in. He offered us for a sample of the gumbo. It was pretty good. He explained what and how the food there was prepared and where from. That was a nice touch. I scanned through the menu and decided to get the scallop and shrimp. I got to choose 2 sides and I picked fried orka and tumeric salad. The scallops and shrimps were well seasoned and cooked skillfully, neither over or under cooked. They were cooked just right. The scallops and shrimps were succulent and fresh. The tumeric salad was also seasoned well and tasty. The fried okra was just that. I don't think you can write much about fried okra. The cornbread was all right with cheese mixed in it. But it came out cold. More flavor would come out if it was served hot. That's about the only I have for that dish. I asked if there was a military discount and the cashier gave me one.

(I support local businesses) As a first-time guest at Four Seasons, I found Kelly to be friendly. I tried the free sample of chicken sausage gumbo, which was decent but lacked rich, flavorful notes, so I decided to skip it. Kelly convinced me to try the fried chicken, which is made fresh to order and comes with two sides. I chose the gouda mac and cheese, but it seemed like the chef forgot the salt and pepper because it lacked flavor. After eating the chicken legs, I went to try the thigh. When I peeled back the meat, a strong fishy smell, like opening a can of sardines, hit me. I told Kelly about it, didn’t finish my meal, and got a refund, but she denied that it smelled like fish. Be cautious when eating here—if you get the chicken, it could be old, which might explain why they refunded me instead of offering a fresh plate. Even if it was fried in a fryer with fish, it shouldn’t have smelled that fishy! P.S. I’m a chef with a passion for food, and I love exploring different places to eat in downtown Pensacola.
