Went there for Valentines day, made reservations a week before and asked for a table for 2, they said they would do that. Arrived and they brought us into a room where one side was a long bench and had 8 tables RIGHT NEXT to each other, i hardly had any room to get to the other side. People had to move the tables to get out when leaving. Thats not a table for 2 when you are sitting 2 feet from people on both sides of us. Everyone could hear each others couples conversation. Their was NO PRIVACY. We should have just walked out but instead tried it and wasnt happy right off the bat. found out they had lots of tables 2 rooms over with tables of 2 was were more private. Food was ok but burnt in many area, desert was really small, her wine in a large glass. We should have gotten the pizza BUT i was trying to make it a romantic night as we ate there for Valentines day when it was Marsellas a while back before they closed. The people next to us said it took a long time to get bread and they had to ask, so when i finally got a clean glass for water, the couple next to us asked if they could bring US bread. The waitress kept forgetting who got what food at all the tables, maybe cause they sat us all right next to each other like we were a large party of 16. They should have made alot more room between the tables but instead wanted to cram in as many people in that little area as possible. Again, NO PRIVACY. everyone was looking at each other as the couples chatted as we could hear every thing everyone was saying and no one around us was happy. They even had 4 tables of 4 they had empty the entire time and could have split us up. I wanted a nice night for my girlfriend and we should have went to PF Changs like we were thinking when we drove by it. The $67 we soent there would have been alot better food and experience somewhere else. We will never eat there again and i wouldn't suggest it to anyone we know or anyone that asks. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE that night. I thought about calling and complaining after the weekend but the girlfriend said don't...
Read moreWhat an insult to the original location. The current generation of family that runs it should be ashamed.
Every single time we come here something is screwed up
Every time
The service is some of the slowest on the east side.
We ordered take out a month or so ago ..2 meals were just missing but they were on the ticket and we got charged for them.
Tonight we went for a family birthday.
As we walked in with a cake the host goes
You know its a 25 dollar outside cake fee right.. we thought she was kidding...nope... Marti geraci is so cheap and wants the money from her desserts so bad that she charges 25 dollars to bring in an outside cake. What if a family member is a professional baker and thats the gift to their family? How dare you?
I cannot eat dark leafy greens
Romaine lettuce is that. The server goes are you sure its leafy green cuz ours doesnt look like that?
Dont question the person giving you a tip
She offered me fries instead
Was the kitchen trying to kill me?
Did the cap come off their salt shaker...
The salt on those fries would have dried out spongebob ... Every member in the family was running for water after having a few.
Let me also get this straight
If someone wants to add 2 strips of grilled chicken to their Caesar salad that will cost them 8.50
Marti, you have and are continuing to ruin your families legacy....
Alisha if you respond with a canned response apologizing and asking me to email you with more info i will never step foot in any geracis ever again.
A true owner/manager takes the time to formulate an honest and personalized response to every issue.
Not use a response template..... Marti has taken the Geraci name from the best on the east side to right at the level with fazoli's.
So your response proves you did not read or care as a manager ashley
I have a medical condition that causes me not to be able to eat romaine.. and i was told by a doctor that it is a dark leafy green. Are you a doctor? No. Never ever correct your customers medical condition. That can get you in...
Read moreThis was my first visit to this establishment. On my way there my husband was reading the menu options out loud. As soon as I heard Wild Mushroom Ravioli I was excited! I immediately said "Oh! I'll order one to go and take one back for your mom!" (She loves mushrooms too and we were planning on visiting her after.) He then replied "maybe you should try it first" and I said "there's no way this won't be delicious! Of course I'll get her one!" Upon arrival I see the establishment and realized I might be underdressed and almost don't pull in. My husband talked me into it though. We sat out in a fairly nice patio and while we waited for 10 minutes for our beers to arrive we listed to children scream. It was awful. I tried to make a few jokes to lighten up. He suggests we just leave. I really wanted that mushroom ravioli though. We get some water and 4 pieces of bread with 3 pats of butter delivered to our table and wait some more. Our beers finally arrive and or server had to leave to deliver drinks to another table saying she'll come back and get our order. We taste or beers and they are old and skunky. Darn it. Our server finally comes back to take our order. I ordered a Caesar salad and my mushroom ravioli, he orders a pizza. After what feels like forever my salad finally arrives. The cheese tasted like wax and the dressing was underwhelming. I couldn't even finish it. Our food finally arrives and I'm crushed. His pizza looks dry and flavorless and my ravioli is not what I expected. The dough to filling ratio was off and the "sauce" tasted like pot roast gravy. Such a disappointment. For these prices I expected so much better. Bottom line the service was terrible and the this was not much better than cafeteria food. I am so glad I didn't waste my money getting my mother in law that...
