It's really refreshing to encounter restaurants such as Pacific East that encompass every positive trait that an establishment should have. I was really excited to visit initially but once I actually arrived, my positive impression only continued - and remained on cruise control. We were seated promptly, served our appetizer of black pepper coated tuna seared w/ roe, sesame seeds, scallions, & special sauce in a timely fashion and met with wonderful service! I had not received such pleasant service in recent days from other restaurants but was pleasantly surprised how courteous, friendly and accommodating our server was tonight at Pacific East. A+ service can be found here. Our server had a pleasant aura and was more than willing to even make chit chat about where to find certain menu items from asian grocers with us after our meals! Speaking of which, there is a lovely selection of sake imported from Japan at this restaurant and I decided on Hana Awaka - sparkling flower sake, myself. It complimented my sushi roll entreé of spicy tuna, lobster tail tempura & avocado, wonderfully! The quality of the fish here is remarkable and amongst the best I have had from a sushi joint, to date. Prices are moderate, but for the quality of the experience and food you will receive, I would highly recommend...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for a year and have had 0 complaints. Today, I came in and had the service from the staff I’ve always had, they greeted me, took long to ask for my drink order however that’s normal for them.
The staff really doesn’t pay you much attention but it’s consistent so I’m use to it. However, I ordered my usually raw sushi and fish eggs… it was the worst sushi I’ve put in my mouth, well the 2nd if I’m being honest.
Look, this fish was not fresh, because I’m a raw sushi eater therefore I know the importance of fresh fish so I immediately stop eating eat. I ordered a lot of food and I paid for it all.
I don’t look for anything free because I want the establishment to understand it’s not about the money it’s about my health.
Knowing how important it is to consume properly prepared raw foods I’m very cautious, so coming here and being served low quality raw fish is crazy and dangerous.
The Sake was great as always. But unfortunately I will never return here.
I hope this finds the owner and inspire him to invest in the quality of the food for I remember the great experiences that I had here...
Read moreWorst sushi in Cleveland. Anyone who knows about sushi would NEVER go to this place. I am not trying to be mean, but how can you drench sushi in sauces. I have lived in Tokyo for more than 10 years, having understood its culture. This place wouldn't last 2 months. Example everything on their menu is covered in sauce, and they don't know how to make sushi with fresh ingredients. I think it is covered in sauce since the seafood is not fresh. Please be careful with this place. In addition they charge you very high prices $$$$. Overall not impressed. The fact that this is still operating is a reflection on...
