Contessa Gallery — Attraction in Woodmere

We bought three pieces by Mr. Brainwash several years ago from Steve at Contessa. We are now trying to sell them because Mr. Brainwash’s pieces have lost considerable value since we acquired them. We have tried repeatedly to contact Steve and the gallery regarding more detailed info on one of the pieces. He and the gallery has been unresponsive. Two pieces of advice: if you are interested in buying work by Mr. Brainwash, go directly to Artsy or 1st Dibs, where they are priced realistically on the secondary market. A very interesting place, to pass the time. They do have some unique pieces, for decent prices. I am disappointed that none of the pieces reflect diversity or have a since of pride. The majority of the art has a representation of New York city. I truly did enjoy the propaganda against today's politics, and further discrepancies .
