We bought three pieces by Mr. Brainwash several years ago from Steve at Contessa. We are now trying to sell them because Mr. Brainwash’s pieces have lost considerable value since we acquired them. We have tried repeatedly to contact Steve and the gallery regarding more detailed info on one of the pieces. He and the gallery has been unresponsive. Two pieces of advice: if you are interested in buying work by Mr. Brainwash, go directly to Artsy or 1st Dibs, where they are priced realistically on the secondary market.
