I love Chili's Grill & Bar! However I will Never return to the one in Sandusky Ohio and please read my honest review before you decide to go there. Restraunts have been opened up for a while now since Covid 19 hit. We were traveling back from out of state and stopped here. The waiter Isaiah was wonderful, very attentive and courteous. Great job Isaiah. However when opening up our silverware packets and without careful inspection as the food was still very noticeable and lodged into the tines of all the forks at the table. There were whole grains of someone else's rice from God knows when, there was sticky gooey substance flowing through the tines of one of the forks that about made me get up and leave. Each steak knife was left with brown patches of who knows what ( and these were not water spots as some may be thinking). Come on people Contamination is Contamination! This was quickly reported to the manager who came over to greet us with a mask on. On his defense he did seen a "little" upset that there were 5 packages of dirty silverware so he went back and personally washed our new silverware that was delivered to our table. The food was mediocre at best but in the very back of my mind I couldn't help to think that if they didn't check the silverware good who's to say our plates and bowls were clean..... So I didn't eat much of my meal. I had fajitas and I guess they were ok given our situation. We decided to take our chips and salsa home ( they gave us a fresh bag of chips and a bowl for our salsa) and I packed up our meals that we hadn't finished. Dessert came with our $25.00 meal deal so we opted for the big chocolate chip cookie served hot with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. The ends were given to our son as that was the only part of the cookie that was actually cooked! The rest of it was like eating very, very underbaked dough smathered with a ton of chocolate chips. It was then that I had decided since they didn't even know how to bake a chocolate chip cookie, and the silverware were filthy that we decided to pay the bill leave Isaiah a nice tip leave our stuff on the table and leave. Needless to say there will never be another trip to the Chili's in Sandusky for this Google reviewer! *If you found my review helpful or just enjoyed reading it Please give it a thumbs up and like and please do not go to Chili's in Sandusky, Ohio. There are other restaurants around in the area that...
Read moreThis place literally deserves no stars at all in my opinion ! When we arrived we were told it would be a 30 minute wait and the hostess almost seemed as if she was hoping we would decide not to wait but sadly we did. Once we got seated our waitress came to the table took our drink orders and brought them back. She didn't bring enough straws no big deal .. but after 20 minutes of her not coming back I asked someone to gwt our waitress because we needed straws and another drink .. she came to our table being extremely rude ! We order appetizers and everyone around us that came in after us was getting theirs however ours still had not been brought out ! When asked if the were going to come before our food she responded with they should about 5 mins later her came our appetizers along with our food ! The appetizers were cold and the main meals weren't far behind! They brought part everyone's meal forgetting the burger for one meal fries for the other side dishes for a couple and completely forgetting one entire meal when asked about she said it was probably because they didn't have room on the tray for everything. Roughly 5 mins later she brings the remaining food out slams it on the table and ask if we need anything else when we asked for the rest of the food we ordered and would be paying for she got angry and said she was going to * the kitchen staff slammed a pitcher of water down causing to splash all over my husband's dinner plate and my daughter's head! At this point I had enough went and found the manager that stated the were 4 cooks short and having a bad night she offered me some dessert but I was already over being there and didn't want to deal with the waitress any longer so we worked on finishing the salvageable food and our not so kind waitress came and dropped our bill right in the middle of the table as aggressively as possible! The mager was kind enough to take the kids meals off our bill for the trouble ! The waitress we had should not waitress everyone at our table was kind and polite she was incredibly rude and made the dinning experience terrible she mad it so nobody felt comfortable even asking for a refill I am so disappointed as we don't gwt to visit chilis often and then when we finally do the waitress was beyond rude and so hateful she literally threw such a fit she splashed water on my husband's nearly 20 dollar plate of food and my...
Read moreYesterday after a long day on the road we finally stopped at Chili’s in South Sandusky. It was Saturday night, and it was, as expected, very busy. Fortunately, we were seated very quickly. After looking at the menu and making our choices we waited quite a long time to be greeted by our server. She apologized for the delay, and we assured her we understood. She plugged our drink orders into her device, and the drinks were delivered to the table before we had finished giving her our orders. She said she would get our orders right out to us and left. We waited for almost 40 minutes for our food as the restaurant emptied. Finally I waved our waitress down and inquired about our meals. She apologized, made excuses about being busy and went to check. She brought our meals a few minutes later. My husband’s meal was fine, but there was only one napkin on the table and his meal was messy finger food, so he asked for additional napkins. I ordered a sirloin, medium rare, with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Clearly this meal had been sitting under a heat lamp for a very long time. The steak was well done, not even a tinge of pink, the mashed potatoes had a thick dried out crust everywhere, and the broccoli was completely raw and dried out. I was starving by this time and I tried to eat the meal anyway, but after a few minutes realized that it was inedible. When I was finally able to find the waitress I told her that we were just going to get a box for my husband, asked again for the additional napkins, and that she should take my meal and throw it away as it was inedible. Both the waitress and the manager did the right thing and removed that meal from our bill, but the excuses were unacceptable and did not make up for the fact that they had served me a meal that I couldn’t eat. This debacle took well over an hour and as still had several hours to drive to get home and we needed to get back on the road. I wish that was the end of the story however with about 6 hours of consuming a small amount of that food I became very ill. This is completely unacceptable and I will be contacting the Health department so that nothing like that happens to...
