Taste of Heaven Chocolates — Restaurant in Perrysburg

After eating at a nearby Restaurant, I was wanting Frozen Coffee. My Wife and I wanted to try this place, as my Wife said, that, every time She wanted to try it, they were closed. We went in. On the window, is printed “Chocolate Coffee Gelato”. Besides the Chocolates on display, and a stand-up sign, that stated prices for Chocolates, I couldn’t find any other menu/pricing. I enquired about Coffee. The Lady said they only had plain Coffee due to Starbucks being nearby (must be silly bylaw/stipulation/etc). The Gelato case was completely empty. I asked about that. The Lady said that was being cleaned out, but that the Gelato was in the back. Fine. I wanted the Cappuccino Gelato, but wanted to SAMPLE the Peppermint. The Lady did bring out a sample of Peppermint, that tasted like it had way too much Peppermint Extract or Mint Extract in it. The Lady, then, brought out what my Wife ordered, but brought out two scoops of Peppermint Gelato for me. I told her I ordered the Cappuccino Gelato, not Peppermint. She went back, and brought something else out. It was clumpy, abnormally textured, and tasted like Chocolate. After having gone outside, I came back inside, and told the two Ladies, that I didn’t care at this point, but that I think this is Chocolate, not Cappuccino. The other Lady, who hadn’t waited on Us, went back to the back to sample both the Chocolate and Cappuccino for herself. She said someone must have added too much of something to the Cappuccino flavor. I just left with my most-likely-Chocolate Gelato. I just wanted a creamy, frozen Coffee. I’m happy for the other happy reviewers, but I cannot relate to their experiences. Good for them. My mileage varied...

I had an excellent experience on Christmas Eve. Both young woman working met me with a warm greeting, making me feel welcome in this Small Business. My questions were answered politely, they were happy to serve me as a customer, and made me feel as they were happy for my business. These gals were both knowledgeable, and well trained in customer service. By their kind personalities, the customer service training, I suspect, was easy. Kudos to this business for caring to hire exceptional employees. I will be back time and time again. Keep up...

Yumm! Between the smell of chocolate when you first walk in or all of the goodies in the cases, its overwhelming to the senses!! lol. Lots and lots of chocolates to choose from but my heart will always belong to their dark chocolate covered fruit!! I'm drooling just thinking about the pears...I still have yet to try their ice cream but I'm sure its just as delicious. It's a definite recommendation from me!!
