When I lived in Perrysburg for a little over a year I was a regular coming in at times once to twice per week and getting Togo food on my way to work. Although I had good experiences with their food their were a lot of times their cooks did not make the my tofu pad Thai and vegetable fried rice the way I ordered and choose to either remake or give me a refund. All of these issues made both of the owners treat me differently and manager told me they couldn’t do any more remakes for me and that I would receive specific servers that know what I like to order and how I ordered it but now they that’s not happening. So when I went in their for what I thought would be the last time in may i requested Kim because she had been my server in the past but refused to serve us during this visit my daughter received hard rice and instead of then making her new rice they microwaved it and gave it back to her and it did not make her rice any better. Then we came back last night I had a server I have only had one other time and she argued with me about me wanting my noodles cooked extra so I went to the sushi bar and asked for the male owner and he refused to talk to me but I was able to speak to someone else to ensure my noodles were in fact cooked extra however I also order the dish light in spice and it wasn’t I had heartburn for hours after. Then it took 10 minutes for the waitress to process my trade first card then she said me were all good to go but then the female owner said I still owed tax and gave me disgusting dirty looks and made me feel uncomfortable in her establishment as she has been ever since I have had issues with their food not being made correctly which was not my fault. Unfortunately at this point my husband and I will not be going back their any longer I would recommend spicy tuna instead as they don’t have waitresses or waiters their that will argue with you if you want a dish cooked a specific way and it’s a better atmosphere with better...
Read moreI have been here numerous time in the last 4 years, and I want to start off by saying the food is amazing. But the service and communication is something I have an issue with, tonight my friend and I came for half priced sushi and wine upon arriving the blonde host did not greet or speak to us. My friend was waiting to give her our name since it was quite busy but she looked at her and walked away numerous time finally the manager came over and took her name and greeted her. After our wait we were finally seated and upon ordering we waiting for 40 mins for our food the manager came back out and informed up that any sushi orders would be another hour wait due to a chef having to leave. We informed her that the table that go there sometime after us had gotten there food already and she asked if we wanted to wait or to just pay for our wine (she was not rude about this at all) we let her know that we would just pay for our wine and leave. After paying our wine bill we were waiting for the gift cards from the manager and our waiter final came over and told us our food will be right out, we informed him that we were told the food was not coming out for an hour and we had already paid for the wine. He informed us that he had put our food in before the chef left and the food should be out soon. This completely confused us, he told us he would talk to the manager and be back but he never came back and when the manager returned with the gift cards she did not say anything either so we decided to leave. Every time I have come to tea tree something has happened that negatively affects my view on the restaurant. Whether it is being seated and not greeted for 20 plus minutes or rudeness from the host stand. Once again I recommend the food but I would...
Read moreTo note this is the second terrible experience we had with Tea Tree. At least this time it wasn't copious amounts of flies like last time. The manager reaction to last time (completely uncaring), I should not have been surprised about this time. .
We spoke to manager/owner. His reaction was "Well she is sometimes a bit too comfortable with some of the customers." After this he shrugged his shoulders and that was the end of the conversation... he was totally unwilling to do anything. To add insult to injury, after checking every box in the "What not to do as a service industry person" checklist AND after having us to the point where we were ticked off enough to complain, hr allowed her to add a 20% auto-gratuity to our bill! To note this experience languished for well over two hours. Ridiculous.
The front door person told us that her rudeness was "a culture difference". She then asked "Well what would you have expected us to do?" Our answer was simple - ANYTHING. Apologizing. Coming to the table. Not allowing an auto-grat. Pretty much anything would have been better than the nothing that happened. And also maybe not insinuating that we were offended because her culture is apparently one of being impatient, a terrible server, and worst of all rude.
In essence, this place has horrid service, and they are OK with not only that but also OK with "Momma" being ridiculously rude to the customers.
Toledo has many other awesome sushi places that don't have rude wait staff with horrific service as well as garbage management. We recommend Sakura, Nagoya, Doma, or Kyoto Ka. We'll definitely not be back...
