Pablo's Cantina — Restaurant in Petersburg

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! POOR QUALITY SERVICE!

I placed an order for takeout, 10 tacos (Al Pastor/Carnitas) and a burrito, was told to wait 15 minutes. 15 minutes later when I arrived to pick up, they told me they were out of al pastor, so they hadn't been able to make my order. I felt like they could have checked first before verifying the order, or at least called me back to make changes. I decided to substitute chorizo instead of al pastor. They told me that it would be another 15 minutes, which again was inconvenient but not too big of a deal. After picking the order up, I realized I had placed too much trust in their professionalism to check the order before I picked it up. Once I got home and looked at the order, I was shocked at the quality of food I received. The first picture is supposed to be a burrito in a separate container than the other tacos. BUT, obviously, this is NOT a burrito. The second picture is the amount of cilantro and onions they gave us for ten tacos. I don't understand why they wouldn't just put the cilantro and onions on them, and this is the first time I've seen such a thing. The tacos were decent, but the amount of sauce they gave us wasn't enough either. This was also the second mistake this restaurant had made with one of our orders. I don't feel confident enough at their skills to order at this establishment again. The one star is for the discount that they gave us, but we didn't ask for it. My best friend is a regular here and took me here tonight for their happy hour and dinner. Prices are super reasonable and cheap, and the customer service is on point. Felt welcomed immediately. The managers, Kiersten and Sarge, along with our bartender, Reeva, were amazingly hospitable, personable, and friendly. This is a hidden gem in old towne Petersburg! The food is also delicious and service is prompt!! They have another section that has pool tables and they have a DJ and music in the later evenings. A must visit for anyone visiting or walking around old towne. Parking is easy and free. I’ll definitely be back!! 5/5 for sure. Would give more starts...

Everything was so well seasoned and the waitresses were so nice!!! My bf had the pollo a la plancha and I had the shrimp quesadilla and I love how even my shrimp was seasoned. The drinks are nice and strong. The bartender makes the margarita mix from scratch and she blends real mangos into the mango margaritas! The mango margaritas have bits of coconut in them so if you’re allergic, beware. Also, on Saturday nights they have a DJ starting at 9pm.
