I actually avoided going here because I heard it was over priced and I am traditionalist when it comes to tacos (street tacos only, please and thank you). HOWEVER the quality of ingredients and the innovation in their recipes changed my mind. I wouldn't call these Mexican tacos, but they are something else entirely. The tortillas were soft and fresh, the salsas were perfect heat and flavor. The barbacoa was tender, seasoned perfectly, and a big quantity. The Baja shrimp taco was my favorite. The shrimp were cooked to perfection (most places over cook them and they become rubbery), the chipotle sauce that they add complements it just right but don't add too much of it because it can be over powering. The coolest thing to me is how they bring your food to the table. They give you a number device like the ones at the food court where they start beeping and shaking. Except I noticed that they were people bringing food to the table where people were randomly choosing to sit. I thought to myself "how do they know where we are sitting if there is no number on the tables or anything?" I asked the food runner and she said there is GPS below the tables that pinpoint the number device they give you.... MIND BLOWN. ABSOLUTELY GENIUS. Overall, a fun experience. I will definitely be coming back.

Pathetic and poor food and service. Go to the Torchys on 79 in Round Rock. We usually go to that one but had to go to Target and decided to order curbside for it. We arrived a few minutes before our scheduled time and texted the number listed on the signs. We waited for almost 30 minutes after our scheduled pick up time (we ordered the food several hours before the scheduled time) until my wife needed to use the restroom so she went inside and saw our order just set out on the bar. She asked if it was our and if it was ready yet because we had texted about it. She said the server was very rude during the exchange. We got our food and finally got home to eat it almost an hour after our pickup time. By then our food was already cold and several items were missing or made incorrectly and many of our sauces and pico not included. We've had several experiences with the rude employees so I'm sure this was not an isolated event. Will not be returning. Attached is a photo of our "lettuce and pico" that came with one of the meals.

Torchy's is always consistent when it comes to food. Good quality and fresh ingredients. The main drawback is that it's expensive for the amount of food you get. Two tacos and queso will set you back around $20. Not too much more than you would spend on fast food for two people, but each person is only getting one taco, and they're sharing the queso. That being said, the food is great, and we will keep going back to Torchy's, just not as often as I would like. We shared the Hillbilly Queso and Chips. The queso is excellent, and we are always scrapping the bottom of the bowl to get all of it (because it would probably be inappropriate to lick the bowl!) I got the Trailer Park Taco, which is my favorite. You can "Get It Trashy" where they replace the lettuce with queso, but I never do. I love the pablano sauce that comes with it and always ask for extra. My wife got the Beef Fajita Taco. She gets it with the pablano sauce instead of the roja sauce. Overall, we love going to Torchy's and recommend that you give it a try.

The food here is quite good. I've ordered from Torchy's 3 times, from 3 different locations and delivered door dash around a dozen times. I was very surprised by the quality of the food. I first got a pretty regular burrito which was nothing special but reasonably priced.

The next two times i tried the tots, hillbilly chips and queso, breakfast burritos, and street corn. First thing to note, not to sound cliche but that is how you queso. The queso is so good with balanced flavor and spice. I'll admit I wasn't in love with the avocado sauce right away but after a few bites I couldn't imagine the queso without it. It's an acquired taste and I'm so glad I did. Next time I intend to try mixing the street corn and queso to make a delicious dip.

The tots were fine, they came with small cups of queso which worked well but I didn't like how the cheese stuck in the cup. I'm not a fan of using my fingers to get at the rest of the cheese but it's so good I went for it but I would have rather had the cheese on the tots. I think the cheese would be good if they just threw it on the tots and forgot the cup or maybe use a mini tortilla lining to hold the cheese.

The breakfast burrito had a great amount of eggs in it, the salsa included was very nice and has a good heat to flavor balance.

If Torchy's figures out drive through and manage to maintain the same price point and quality they could be a national brand. For now...

terrible service, deserving of less than one star. Placed a curbside order 3.5 hours in advanced, showed up 5 minutes early, texted my slot and name per their curbside instructions. Waited 15 minutes, watched how other cars pulled up, got their order and left. Got out of the car, asked the guy who was delivering the orders that I had placed an order for 3:30 and it was already 3:45, he said he was going to go in and check, gave him my name. He never returned, around 3:55 I called the store and asked to speak with the manager. Told him what happened and wished to cancel, he didn't hesitate to say my order was cancelled, no apology or explanation as to why it was never delivered. I told him I had paid in advanced, said I was not charged until the order was made, this told me they never made it nor intended to make it. Told him I would write a proper review and said it was fine. I wonder why they decided to not make my order but did with the others, my name is a spanish name and he was almost laughing like he was expecting a call. I would fire such a manager if I were the owner but he probably doesn't care, maybe he shares the same beliefs, cater to certain groups only. Will never go back and encourage others to take their business elsewhere, there are plenty or genuine tacos places in the area. I saw the charge is pending and will be looking to see if it goes through, if it does I will report...
