I was a fan of Bart’s Bagels upon my first taste of the pumpernickel everything when they first opened. A few months later, we were hosting a lot of family members when they came to town to see the Eagles Super Bowl parade with us. We ordered the Bart’s Bagels Brunch Bundle for the occasion—and it was amaaaaaaahzing! Such an incredible deal. And everything was delicious. After we picked up our order, we soon realized that one item was missing (understandable, given how many orders they probably had that day due to the parade), but Bart’s immediately rectified it and gave us a freebie our troubles. And icing on the cake was the few bagels that remained after our guests had left: my husband, son, and I got to enjoy them on our own in the days that followed, and they stayed soft and delicious until every last one was eaten! I was a longtime fan of Philly Bagels, but Bart’s has eclipsed it by finding that sweet spot of value, quality, and staying shelf-stable beyond one day. Highly recommend!!! Read moreA great addition to the neighborhood! Welcome Barts. Overall, the bagels are just as good as their original location in West Philly. Which was already a favorite. They have a great variety of bagel sandwiches (even a chicken chorizo sandwich for those non-pork eaters). But you also can’t go wrong with the classic pork roll, egg, and cheese. I visited on day 2 of their opening and expected logistical difficulties but things were running smoothly! (Only tip I’d give is it would be great to have a little speaker in the hallway for people to hear their name called more easily. Saw plenty of people not hearing it).
A surprise bonus is a great outdoor seating area for some sunshine filled bagel eating. Just try not to sit directly next to oven vent!
Overall, great bagels and a great spot. Welcome to South...
Read moreBart’s is the best! Delicious bagels, sandwiches, spreads, and side options. Their south Philly store features a nice, open entryway with a big menu on the side listing all their current bagel types. Sadly, their everything egg bagels were sold out because of the current eggsanity happening here in the US.
Instead, I got a sausage, egg, and cheddar sandwich on their weekly special of a garlic-oregano bagel. It was delicious! I also ordered a hashbrown and what turned out to be one of the most delicious brown butter chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had! Highly recommend!
The outside also featured a nice patio sitting area, but it was a bit too cold and windy to enjoy it.
Everyone at the store was delightful and helpful with all my questions. Can’t wait to...
