Start to finish an amazing meal.

Started with the service. The woman behind the counter was so pleasant and seemed so happy for us to be dining in the cafe that it really set the tone for the whole meal.

Lentil soup: Soup of the day. I love that the lentils were whole and not puréed. Came with a nice dipping bread that was perfectly toasted. As were all of the breads! Hearty portion of soup in an adorable bowl.

Tolia classic: Admittedly a skosh hard to eat as the meat kept popping out of the bread. This was always going to be a hit. Burrata almost never disappoints and this complementing the rest of the ingredients was lovely.

Oven gold turkey: A truly unexpected hit. A small detail but the fact that both top and bottom breads had the pesto sauce was a deal maker. The cheese really just pushed it over the edge.

Bomboloni: Chocolate hazelnut filling in the middle. Very savory. Not a huge pastry guy but this was a nice suggestion out of the case of pastries.

The space itself is adorable. As a tall person I wish I hadn’t chosen one of the short stools but that’s my own fault. Plenty of tables. Would definitely come back to try the...

This is my favorite cafe in Philadelphia. The owners are extremely kind and attentive to everyone. The entire Cafe Tolia staff are thoughtful and respectful to everyone. Cafe Tolia has been embraced by the neighborhood community and their appreciation is obviously sincere and plentiful.

Cafe Tolia is essentially an international Cafe with a wonderful European feel and style. The food is fresh and the coffee is of the highest caliber.

Often patrons from other countries are found in Cafe Tolia speaking various languages, laughing and enjoying this wonderful American experience. Cafe Tolia welcomes everyone to experience their Cafe and enjoy relaxing in comfort doing so. Cafe Tolia is based on respect for everyone.

I highly recommend Cafe Tolia’s Vegan options. Their lentil soup and hummus are very delicious. They also offer high quality vegan options for their coffee etc.

I popped in to grab some brunch for my mom and me since we’re staying at an Airbnb and wanted something a bit more satisfying than what we've been eating.

Cafe Tolia was just what we needed! I went for a breakfast sandwich with egg and roasted peppers, while my mom enjoyed the Maple Honey Sandwhich and couldn’t stop raving about it—she actually asked me why I didn’t grab another one for later! The coffee was hot and delicious, complete with fresh cream. And oh my goodness, the BOMBOLINI was absolutely amazing! I savored every single bite and definitely need to get another one before I leave town. The Chocolate Croissant was equally scrumptious!

I found this on google map when trying to look for a place to grab a light snack while planning a visit to Betsy Ross house. It's a very short walk from there. True to many good reviews and cute photos of interior, in person, this place was even prettier in deco plus entire staff that works there were so friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent also. I ordered caprese sandwich, if you're not that hungry, it was big enough to share between 2 people and was delicious. I was worried that it was a small place and I wouldn't be able to get a table to eat in as I went in during lunch time, but place is medium size with lots of tables so was no problem. This was loveliest cafe I have ever visited, I would definitely be coming back here if I'm back visiting the old city and Betsy Ross house.

Honestly, best cafe in US I have ever enjoyed. I rarely go into detail and add photos, but this cafe is the cutest, friendliest and tastiest I have experienced in many years. This cafe is run by Elbe and they seem to personally ensure your experience is good. Her BW photography is all over the walls of both brick and wainscoting. My favorites are various parfaits you can spec and the breakfast sandwiches ( yes we went 2 days in a row!) but the whole menu is great. They remembered our family and names. The coffee is top notch and the whole experience has a classy, European vibe and I don’t think I have felt so welcome in a breakfast cafe ever before. Could not recommend any more highly.

Honestly, best cafe in US I have ever enjoyed. I rarely go into detail and add photos, but this cafe is the cutest, friendliest and tastiest I have experienced in many years. This cafe is run by Elbe and they seem to personally ensure your experience is good. Her BW photography is all over the walls of both brick and wainscoting. My favorites are various parfaits you can spec and the breakfast sandwiches ( yes we went 2 days in a row!) but the whole menu is great. They remembered our family and names. The coffee is top notch and the whole experience has a classy, European vibe and I don’t think I have felt so welcome in a breakfast cafe ever before. Could not recommend any more highly.
