CHICHA San Chen — Restaurant in Philadelphia

This place just had a grand opening this past weekend. I went in last night to check it out. They’re doing a grand opening promotion until August 30 or while supplies last. If you purchase $10 or more you get their tote bag which is really cute. I love the decor inside and it’s so spacious. They even have a tea tasting station where you can sign up for free tea tasting. Considering that they just opened I would say the service is fast and staff is really friendly. I would say the tea is a bit pricer then other bubble tea place especially if you customizing your drink but the quality of the tea is top notch. So as the saying goes you get what you pay for. Each cup of tea is made to order and steep after you place the order so it does take a little more time then other bubble tea place. I love how you can watch them prepare...

I’m an avid tea drinker and they brew their teas in house, no artificial mixes.

I came back twice in the row because of how good it is. I got the creamy lemon tea. The best way I can explain it is a lemon tart with a hint of earthiness from the tea. Definitely try it 100/100

They had a black tea with mouse that tasted almost like coffee so it’s still a great place to come if you’re not too much of a tea drinker.

Chicha San Chen is such a breath of fresh air when it comes to bubble tea spots. They are known for authentic, Taiwanese teas and flavors and definitely deliver on that promise. It was my first time there, so I tried a simple tea: the Dong Ding latte with oat milk and boba. The wait was around 5-7 minutes and I love how the boba comes with a string holder, great presentation! The tea was very rich and creamy, and is nutty and floral. The boba is sweet, but could’ve been softer— be prepared for the drink to consist of 1/3 bubbles! The staff is very kind and enthusiastic, so it’s a great experience and a nice place to meet...
