To be fair, we placed an order kind of late, Around 8:30PM on a Saturday, it was our first time ordering and didn't realize how close to closing it was. We also used the webcode for $20 off, and picked it up.
We ordered from; -Alanza: 1 vodka pizza 1 bolognese pizza Side of Tortiglioni Pomodoro -Wing Trip: 6 piece boneless buffalo combo w/ fries and a diet coke -Streetbird: M's fried chicken sandwich combo w/ onion rings and a black iced tea. -Yasas: Beef Souvlaki & Tzatziki Sandwich
If it wasn't for the discount I would have been a lot more disappointed, but we did still spend $50
Both pizzas were NOTHING like they were in the photo, and even like photos people have posted in other reviews. It just looked like a plain pizza, no basil, no shaved parmasan. The bolognese looked EXACTLY the same, just a plain pizza with no toppings. It also tasted extremely old and stale. Like it was an order someone forgot to pick up and was conveniently available that late at night. Even reheating it in the airfryer could not save it. -The pasta was great, just cold. I live like 6 minutes from the store so it shouldn't have been cold by the time I got home, but it was an extremely small portion for a side that costs $8.
The chicken sandwich was good, plain but good. The onion rings had the same old stale feeling the pizzas did, like they had been made earlier and reheated. They were extremely overcooked and just not fresh.
The boneless wings were the best thing we got, even reheated later they were great. The fries were good but again just cold.
And the beef soufvlaki was good, but the meat was just so overdone and dry that we just picked the meat off and ate the rest of it.
We went back in as soon as we walked out to have the pizzas checked, because they just weren't anything like what they were supposed to be. They took them back to "fix them" and it looked like they just threw some chopped parsley or chives on it and handed it back. It definitely wasnt basil (it was a finely chopped bright bright green herb where basil is usually darker and left in full pieces)
Overall, Maybe if we had gone earlier in the day it would have been better, but considering they had a LINE of people waiting for orders even after we walked out the second time, I expected it to be a little fresher than it was.
I misunderstood the concept originally and thought it was more of a food court than 1 kitchen that makes dishes from multiple restaurants.
It seems like its probably pre-made, and it gives cafeteria food at best. It seems like it could be a good idea if you have multiple people ordering and want different things, but there may be some compromises in quality because of that.
The staff were welcoming and friendly, and it looked...
Read moreWhere do I even begin with rating this place? Hmm, well the place is called “Wonder” because after you eat from here, you wonder why you didn’t choose somewhere else to spend your money. For one, the wait for the food was a very long time. I ordered an Adobo Chicken bowl from Limesalt, a Zesty Chicken Souvlaki & Rice bowl from Yasas, and a side of cornbread from Tejas Barbecue. We figured why not try a couple of things from the different restaurants to get the full experience. WRONG! The chicken bowl was small (do not pay attention to the photos, the bowls used are not the same size), you’re honestly better off going to Chipotle. Not only is the bowl at Chipotle bigger but the taste is also better seeing as this bowl from Limesalt was bland & heavily lacking flavor (4/10 rating). Moving on to the bowl from Yasas. This bowl was a bit better; the flavors were better and it felt like it had more food in it than the previous one but still didn’t blow us away to want to get it again (6.5/10 rating). Last but not least, the “cornbread” from Tejas Barbecue. I put “cornbread” in quotes because this was, in no way, shape, or form, cornbread. The audacity to call what they gave us cornbread was so disrespectful. I took one bite and I lie to you not, it had to go back into the container. This was hands down, THE WORST CORNBREAD I have EVER had in my entire life. It tasted like a dish sponge drizzled in pancake syrup and left out overnight (-100/10 rating). I was sad after that because I was really looking forward to the dessert seeing as the main meals were disappointing. Anyway, the only positive thing I can say about Wonder is that they gave us a $5 coupon due to the delay in making the meals without us having to complain about it. However, I will not be using this coupon and do not intend on ever going back to this place. Don’t go here if you’re hungry; good luck if...
Read moreFirst and foremost I was disappointed that the 50% coupon off your first 2 orders did not work. We even received another flier in the bag and it was our first order. Overall the food was delicious. I had the Spicy Chicken sandwich and fries from Marcus Samuelsons Sweetbird. Excellent flavor and the fries were perfectly cooked. Downside they need better rolls as it pretty much fell apart on the first bite. NOTE: I was going to order from Burger Baby but everything was sold out at 6:30 on a Friday Night? Same thing happened with the roll for the Chicken Cordon Bleu from Mainstay by Marc Murphy. Very tasty just needed a better vessel. I strongly recommend the Shishito Peppers as a side from Mainstay. The other sandwich was the classic brisket from Tejas again outstanding flavor poor delivery with the roll. This is Philadelphia we take our rolls very seriously as everyone knows the best part of any sandwich is the roll. Nice concept being able to have multiple options at one location, and having delivery as an option makes everyone satisfied.
Change the rolls fix the promo code issue and work on availability and you might get 5 🌟
I will try this again,...
