Way Out — Local services in Philadelphia

I took my daughter here for her 18th birthday yesterday 10/18/17. She was so excited to get a her belly pierced. I noticed the good reviews so I traveled 45 minutes to go here. I called prior to find out details, pricing, if I needed an appointment, store hours and they were helpful. Well when I get there the "so called" manager asked for her I.D. My daughter only has a school ID which she left in her bookbag at home and it only shows a pic not a birthdate anyway. So since I am her mother, I said I would show my ID and we look like twins. Still the "so called" manager says NO and not in a nice way and then asked for a birth certificate?!?! Who carries their birth certificate around? They never mentioned to bring any of this on my prior call for details and she said well I should have asked?!?! WHAT!! Then my daughter remembered her drivers permit was in the car showing her date of birth so that should have sufficed. Again we received a NO...so at this point I am very upset because I was starting to get the idea that they just didn't want us in there!! DO NOT GO HERE, THEY ARE NOT NICE AND THEY RUINED MY DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY. It was 7:30 at night so I wasn't driving 45 minutes home to produce a document that she could have used a permit...WAY OUT IS A NO GO, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MANAGEMENT!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!! I SHOULD'NT EVEN GIVE THEM A 1 STAR BUT THAT'S ALL...

AWESOME!! I have several cartilage piercings in each ear all healed up nicely. I change my jewelry up often. This time with my conch’s IDK what happened, not sure if too snug of a hoop or the material but my ears did not like. The right became super angry. I called Way Out first thing this morning since in the area and they said they could help as I could not get the right conch out.

When I got to the shop there was a 45 min wait but staff could see the pain I was in and how angry my ear was. They asked the line to please be patient as they would only be a few moments with me and took me back. The girl (I heart you) saved my piercing and took me out of pain ASAP as she removed the Snuggie hoop with little to no pain. I mean she got the hoop out in second I didn’t even feel the clicker open. AWESOME, PERFECT. I said I would get my curved bar back in but she insisted on helping to make sure all was good.

Studio was clean, knowledgeable staff, obviously super friendly and caring. The have really cute pieces of jewelry too so I’ll definitely be back for some pieces. I can’t thank the staff enough, so very much...

I have gotten several piercings at this location (once at the willow grove location) and up until the last visit I was always a satisfied customer. Recently went in to have my lip piercing changed out from the original to a shorter bar, was told services are by appointment only and was placed on list for an appointment an hour later ok fine I assumed this new change was due to covid I get it went shopping at another store came back still to wait, the girl changed out the jewelry pinching my skin several times and again I get piercings/tattoos all the time I'm not someone that complains of pain anyways the new ring was put in and I left, that ring feel out within a couple hours at this point I'm at work and by the next morning I'm sure the hole was closing and at this point and because of the service I said forget it, $30 down the drain which is another thing I was confused about because anytime I've gotten pierced here I was told the first change out was no charge, anyways excuse the long post but speaking from experience this place has gone...
