Visited this location early December 2024 as we were staying in the hotel. The crispy chicken sandwhich that was ordered was great for the first strip - yes, strip, becuase the chicken came with what looked like two chicken strips and not a patty/breast filet. The first bite of the second strip was raw. Our server was sympathetic to our disgust, but was seemingly annoyed the entire night becuase the kitchen was slow to fulfill orders and they were by themselves serving. After dinner we were asked if we were going to stay long as he needed to get ready for breakfast. There were only 4 or so other parties left in the dining room.
The next day, we tried breakfast. Better experience this time and great value for the pretzel egg sandwhich. Avocado toast was good, parfait was plentiful and the waffle came with enough syrup that we didn't have to ask for more. Figured we would do breakfast again the next day. There was a bit of a wait though as there was a convention happening and the bar was busy. Upon our arrival a disgruntled person said don't bother waiting, that they had been there for 15 minutes already.
Third day, we ordered the same breakfast. To our surprise, the parfait came in a smaller glass with what looked like spoiled strawberries and the waffle was undercooked. There was a longer wait and the staff seemed confused as to why they were so busy, despite the coupons that I saw being redeemed saying a percentage off all weekend for the convention.
Final day we thought we would give them a chance for redemption and end on a good note for dinner. We had the same server as the first day. Unfortunately the service was a letdown and did not improve. We were asked again about leaving in preparation for breakfast. The hummus platter we ordered our first night was prepared differently. The Coins salad had wilted pieces of lettuce. The pasta was good though with a nice thick marinara sauce.
All in all good for breakfast, not so much for dinner. Would give more stars if the threat of salmonella wasn't ecperienced...
Read moreThe food we had was delicious! I enjoyed the hummus platter appetizer with soft pita bread and good quality black olives. The bacon cheeseburger with bbq sauce was yummy but given to us as well-done instead of medium (as ordered). The “thinly sliced onion ring” seemed to be from the thick top/ bottom of the onion and was not breaded or a ring. I suggest trying the unique house-made chips that are served with ketchup. They are a cross between the crunch of potato chips with the taste of french fries. Portion sizes seemed just right, but were small considering the price.
The atmosphere is as-pictured on the website, but wide open to the lobby’s echo.
The 2 servers I saw were very kind, but understaffed considering they were covering the bar and seating (as host, wait staff, and bussing). It might have been okay for most of the evening. When we arrived, there were very few people. One server seemed to be instructing the other on something behind the bar. So, we waited what seemed like 3 - 5 minutes before we were acknowledged. Later, when one took a break, it appeared that there was only one person left. That individual came back just in time for a small 9pm Monday night “rush.” It seemed as though they needed just one more person to efficiently address everyone’s needs.
Overall, I’d return to the restaurant if I was staying in the hotel and wasn’t in a rush to be somewhere. It was good option for our first night when we needed sustenance...
Read moreWent here at 9:30pm on a Saturday as we wanted a quick bite before bed. I waited probably 15 minutes for someone to come take my order - a chicken and cheese quesadilla and chocolate cake. Despite this, the food came out quickly. The food was terrible. I get that it was right before closing but they did not put any effort or care into making the quesadilla. It was thinly packed with ingredients and was missing cheese. The chicken was super small chunks of bland chicken. The tortilla was overcooked and everything fell out since it didn't have cheese. The cake was a small piece for like $7. It was dry and tasted like something you get from a lesser quality Little Debbie. I would recommend going elsewhere to spend $22 on a quesadilla...
