Nice atmosphere but owner was rude to us when we asked if we could use an outlet even though we were paying customers :(

Now, I don’t want to come across as rude, but I’d like to give you a taste of your own medicine. You u seem to be needing some business advice, so here’s a tip: your customers should leave wanting to come back. It’s called LTV / CAC. I hope how you treated us isn’t typical because I wish we hadn’t come. Your struggles aren’t unique and prior to coming to your shop we felt great—we work too, this is our vacation. Been looking to visit Café Couleur for the past couple months because it looked so beautiful, is next to one of my favorite parks, and I love banh mi. It fully exceeded my expectations. The cafe and food itself was everything I could have dreamed of but what will make me come back is the owner, Pete, who is endearingly kind, insightful, and hospitable. Despite me getting to the cafe before open, he let me and my friend come in and sit out of the cold while he finished opening. All throughout our time there he shared his life perspectives and story of how he came to own and operate the cafe. What a find.

Pete alone is worth the price of admission—a friendly, warm, interesting man who puts a personal touch on the visit. And then you get to his food. Oh my god the food. Both the meat and vegan bahn mi sandwiches are excellent, but then you get to his young jackfruit salad and wow. I can't say enough about the flavors. My favorite thing on his menu, though, has to be The Pete—a coffee of Pete's own creation. Turmeric, ginger, coconut oil, orange zest, with dates for sweetness. I can't put into words how much I enjoyed this coffee other than to say that I forced myself to only drink half of it so that I could continue to savor it the next day.
