Spa Hygge — Local services in Philadelphia

What a FANTASTIC facial!! I had my first facial with Tia a couple weeks ago to treat my persistent adult hormonal and genetic acne. When I walked into the spa, Tia was ready and waiting for me, since they only schedule one client at a time. I immediately felt so cozy and comfortable. In the facial room, Tia explained what I could expect for my first appointment. She gave me a robe to change into before getting under the fresh blankets. She examined my skin and came up with an immediate game plan for the appointment, explaining each step fully for me, including what sensations to expect. I have never had such a thorough appointment with such clear explanations of what is going on with my skin, how we would treat it that day, and how to treat it ongoing. While doing the facial (and neck/scalp massage!), Tia answered all of my questions about joining Hygge club (which I did, immediately!) and what products I could use at home that were gentle enough for my sensitive skin. When we decided what I would take home, she gave me a really clearly written out card with the order of product application. I have it on a shelf in my bathroom so I can follow it to a tee! She also mentioned that there is an infra red sauna through another door in the waiting room, which I can use with my club hygge 3 month membership.

My skin almost 2 weeks out looks wildly improved from pre-facial. The texture is much smoother overall, and feels nice and bouncy. I’m so excited for my next appointment for the next stage of my treatment, where we will target the darker...

Tia is absolutely amazing!!! I had a facial with her today and I cannot rave about her and Hygge enough. Upon arrival, the space is gorgeous. The lobby/waiting area is so inviting, comfortable, and cozy - I would come in 30 minutes early to just sit there and relax! The treatment room is so cozy and clean as well. Tia is one of the best estheticians I have ever been with. She is so knowledgeable and so good about keeping you informed throughout the whole process, and is just generally an absolute gem to be around. She makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed and is super funny and light hearted (and also has an awesome playlist). Not to mention she has a MAGICAL touch when it comes to both massage and extractions! I could have fallen asleep in her chair. I struggle with cystic hormonal breakouts so I get a little anxious when it comes to my skin, but I felt so taken care of the entire time and my skin feels absolutely amazing. I love that her services and membership prices are already a set price (including gratuity and enhancements) - it’s so refreshing to know exactly what you’re paying for up front and not be caught off guard with extra add-ons, and allows you to be stress free from the very beginning. All in all, this was easily the best facial experience I’ve ever had and I cannot wait to go back....

Just had my first appointment at Hygge but it was not my first time being a client of Bri's :) I actually followed Bri from a different spa because of how beautifully she treats my skin and because the environment she creates is so peaceful and relaxing. I seriously look forward to seeing Bri every month because I feel so rejuvenated every time.

It was also a no brainer to switch my spa to Hygge in general because they offer more services than the last spa I went to. Aside from all the regular facial treatments you would expect, they also offer lash and brow services. I signed up for Hygge's monthly membership which-- if you plan on having regular facial services/treatments-- is so worth it because it offers so many benefits and perks, including use of Hygge's sauna!

As of writing this review, the company is a two person team-- Bri and Hygge's founder, Tia (both of whom have years of experience in the field) which really brings that personal, specialized touch that is so important to have when it comes to individual skincare needs. Also love that Hygge is a woman-owned, small/local business!

Obviously, I highly, highly recommend Hygge and Bri for your self-care needs! Lovely experience all around and I can't wait for my next...
