Emmett has the best food and service I’ve had at any restaurant in Philly! I’m absolutely blown away by my experience. I brought my mom here for her birthday dinner and they went above and beyond to make it special. We started with a fellowship & love cocktail, well balanced and not overly sweet. For our appetizers, we got the sesame madeleines and rye tartlet. Both were outstanding. The sesame madeleines came with butter and a berry jam, and they brought caviar for free. That bite was one of my favorite bites in Philly! The rye tartlet was also perfect. I’m not even a huge fan of raw meat or fish and I could’ve devoured several. We split the tehina agnolotti for our entree. The pasta was so pillowy and creamy, mixed with some nutty flavors. The fava beans were the only part of the dish that were a miss, but overall it was still delicious. We ended with the date cake. It was so warm and sticky, it must’ve just come out of the oven. I couldn’t ask for anything more from a restaurant. Our server, Ryan, went over every item in so much detail to help us make informed decisions. He was an absolute gem. I cannot wait to continue dining here for special occasions!

An unbelieveable meal from start to finish, one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. The entire experience was memorable. From the space, to the staff, to the food. Every single staff member we encountered was so friendly and on the ball. Always had an eye on water levels, resetting table in between courses, cleaning table in between. This was such a treat. The food and bar program are next level. The tasting menu is an absolute must when visiting Emmett. The portions are great, you won't leave hungry. And all of the food was out of this world. The menu is flavorful and eclectic. A harmonious blend of unique flavors and textures. Menu highlights for me: rye tartlet, smoked jonah crab, the sujuk cappalletti (hands down the best thing I put in my mouth all night), lamb loin, date cake and the grilled sourdough soft serve which was part of the blood orange curd. I ordered a cocktail, Bourbon Beets Battlestar Galactica. So good. I cannot wait to return!!

This place was truly exceptional… some of the best main courses I’ve ever had. I hope the lamb loin is here to stay! The tomato dish was scrumptious!!! Reminded me of eating a bagel yet I didn’t even miss the bagel. The amberjack was also delightful. The salmon preparation was among the best I’ve had, but it was undercooked a bit - needed a minute longer. The kohlrabi would have been amazing, but this was also undercooked and a little tough. The cocktails were unique and we enjoyed every one. My partner and I are gluten free and while many of their dishes have gluten (sadly), we were absolutely more than satisfied with the numerous dishes we were able to eat. The vibes were on point, great music and decor. Our waitress genuine and engaging. I can’t wait to go back

I'll say I had very high hopes for this spot. The service was just so delightful and our waitress was really a pleasure. The ambience is cozy with an open kitchen. Do wish we had a better option to hang jackets but it's such a small spot I'd forgive it. But in the end, the food left an unfortunate amount to be desired. We grabbed the tasting menu which, in the end, would not have spent $95 on per person.

-Sesame madelines: I get the attempt at an interesting bread/butter combo, but the madelines are just a skosh too sweet to start the meal and neither spread was very interesting. Rye tartlet: just seemed like a bit of a disservice to wagyu beef and too salty Cheese toast: this was probably my favorite of the apps and actually did enjoy this Chicken fried oyster: the oysters didn't hold the fried-ness well and the tzatziki sauce couldn't really save it Octo shish: I thought this was going to easily be my favorite dish and I have to admit it was top 5 least favorite octopus dishes I've ever had. I felt like the jam was a bit of an affront to the senses and wish it weren't on the plate. Why is there a piece of sweet potato mixed in other than to make the octopus portion look a bit larger than it is? Razor clam dish: I honestly forgot there were even razor clams in this dish as the true star were two giant prawns with the clams mixed into tabbouleh. This was probably our favorite dish of the night, but I certainly wouldn't name this dish after the clams as they are absolutely not the center of the flavoring.

Arctic char: nice curry with nice mussels to accompany it. I hadn't had an arctic char center-stage before so this was interesting. Probably the most inventive dish on the menu and should definitely stay. Lamb loin: meh.

Came with two desserts. The date cake was inedibly sweet. I didn't mind the curd dish, but it didn't compensate for the rest.

I get that this spot is new and is experimenting and I truly wish it the best in terms of finding...

Incredible dining experience. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had. I didn’t know what to expect. I like that they have an à la carte and a tasting menu - But if you want to do the tasting, everyone in your party has to do it. I do see why this is - They portion and pace the meal for your group. It was a great option for our 4 person party so that we could share tons of different dishes. Additionally, the tasting menu is by far the best value for your dollar. For example, I was considering the $115 ribeye entree. (Amazing btw). With the tasting menu, I paid $130 and got to experience the ribeye, plus about 10 other dishes and dessert. It’s a no brainer. The food is outstanding. Amazing quality and flavors. Server was kind and attentive. We were seated well past our reservation time, but they made up for it by comping a round of drinks. This was a really pleasant surprise and goes to show how much they value a positive dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant. Absolutely delicious ! Sorry I didn’t take any photos - I was too busy enjoying the great food and...
