Good Day Deli — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I see all the 5 star reviews and wonder who these people are! I started a new job in the area today and went there for a reuben sandwich for an early lunch. I ordered at 9:55am and went outside to wait since no other customer in the store had a mask on, even though there is two signs on the plastic window in the store that says to wear a mask inside. But apparently no one is enforcing this rule! At 10:00, I came back in to see if my sandwich was ready and it wasn't, so I went back outside. At 10:05am I came back in again to see if it was ready and the woman behind the counter was pointing at me and asking the other worker about me, I know because she looked at me and looked back at her. She went and asked the cook something and he turned to look at me. This tells me they forgot my order. So she says, 'it'll be done soon", so again I go outside. Another 6 minutes later I come back in and she looks at me and the cook and he just puts the pastrami and sauerkraut on the grill. That was it for me, I wasted half my break time waiting for a sandwich that was forgot about so I had to run aroung the corner and get a prepackaged salad from Trader Joe's, who never fails to disappoint. I was working today around 11:15 A.M. I went to Good Day Deli. I bought a delicious and low priced cheesesteak for around $6.45. As I was paying I put my money on the counter to get pocket change. I forgot about it and left it. I went back to the store after I couldn't find my money. Luckily I was able to view the camera footage from the store with the help of the employees to find a local high school student took the money off the counter and put it in his pocket. One of the teachers were in the store at the time the footage was being seen. He Identified the kid and eventually I got my $53 dollars back. I went to the store and put some of the money in the tip cup for helping. Good Day Deli even offered a bottle of water while I waited. I was visiting the area; I didn't want any thing from DUNKIN'. So I tried Good Day Deli. It was a happy surprise to find a breakfast restaurant so close to my hotel. Good Day Deli make good breakfast platters and have grits available. You don't find many places that actually sells grits anymore. I got a basic egg platter with a side of buttered bread. It was delicious and the price is comparable to the amount of food you receive. I was full and happy. I didn't have to eat anything until late into the evening that day. This deli is great. I will back. For those complaining about prices, you do realize that this small business has to pay commercial rent in a major city downtown area, employees, high a$$ inflation for food prices, and still manage to make some type of profit.
