So, place is nice and small with a very local vibe/atmosphere. Decent food and kid friendly bar/restaurant.
However, my wife’s aperol spritz had a small fly on one of the ice cubes which she didn’t notice until she was almost done. She noticed it and immediately informed our server (Jenn).
Jenn was really nice and asked my wife if she wanted anything else as a replacement to which my wife said no, since we were getting ready to leave. The only issue was that they didn’t remove the aperol spritz from the check nor did they provide any form of discount or maybe a small complimentary dessert.
Instead when we asked Jenn why we were being charged, Jenn had to get the managers approval to remove the item.
Now the manager was just a grumpy lady (only mentioning and know this from observing her attitude while bringing some of our drinks and dropping off the food items to our and some other tables). Didn’t get the managers name, but when my wife asked if the aperol spritz can be removed because of the fly issue, the manager had the audacity to ask my wife “did you finish the drink though? Yeah, exactly.” And walked away.
Did they take off the item from the check, yes - as they should have. The attitude, that’s just horrible customer service. I’m sure many locals know them and enjoy their food, etc. but as out of town’ers, that’s just bad experience and definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone from out of town to go there. Plenty of other local bars/restaurants in the area - give...
Read moreI’ve been here twice and the first time was great! Unfortunately, tonight was quite the opposite. My two friends and I went here a couple hours ago excited to chill and have good conversation. We initially stood for a little bit before a few people left and a few chairs opened up at the bar. My one friend got a beer and me and my other friend got water (wanted to have a water before having our next drink since we had been drinking all day) we planned to obviously keep drinking after finishing our water but 5 minutes into sitting there the Bartendar told me and my friend if we didn’t order anything that we had to give up our seats to her friends standing behind us. She continued to give us a hard time even after we said we were just waiting for our friend to get his food that he ordered and she rudely told us she needed the seats for her friends and needed us to get up if we weren’t ordering a drink at that very moment. I understand you want more business, but rushing us into ordering a drink instead of waiting another 5 minutes for us to be ready to order? She was very rude and I immediately had no interest in staying, and won’t be recommending this bar to anyone anymore. We waited for our bar seats just like everyone else, first come first serve. Very upset to see how she handled that situation. Very unprofessional.
*just read other bad reviews about a clearly racist and rude waitress. It was probably...
Read moreGood food, delivery disaster.
I liked getting delivery from here, but unfortunately they just don't seem to have their act together enough to use the delivery apps.
I'm writing this after having waited over 30 minutes for the restaurant to even acknowledge my order after I placed it...which they never did. Caviar wasn’t able to reach Locust Rendezvous to look into it when I asked, and a driver had even gone to the restaurant and was waiting. The order was then canceled because Caviar was “unable to process the order with the restaurant”. So multiple people had their time wasted.
It'd be alright if this were an isolated incident, but it isn’t. Joke’s on me since they’ve neglected confirming the order for a long time before, but having it canceled after half an hour takes the cake.
After a year of the pandemic, with other restaurants easily working with these delivery companies for years, they should not be struggling with...
