I have walked by Mac Mart a number of times and kind of thought it looked a little kitschy. You see these type of single food restaurants come and go in Philadelphia and I figured this would be no different, so I hadn't bothered to stop in. Alas, the world had different plans. As I drove by with my kids they said "Dad, let's eat at the mac and cheese place!" so I relented and surrendered to what I assumed would be overpriced macaroni product. But wow was I wrong! I got the buffalo chicken mac and cheese and my children split the standard mac. From what I could tell it's all one "base" mac and cheese with various toppings and mix-ins to make the other signature kinds. But the base is so good! The macaroni is perfectly cooked, just slightly al-dente, not mushy like most. The sauce is a blend of six kinds of cheese (I think that's what they said) and is creamy and rich with a strong taste of garlic and sharp cheeses. The classic is topped with "panko" crushed potato chips for a crunchiness. The staff was great as well. Very accommodating and friendly to my kids and informative about the menu offerings. All in all, I would highly recommend Mac Mart based on the quality and service. The only downside is the seating is extremely limited. Just a few seats at a bar at the window. But take it home and tell your partner you made it!

Oh, Mac Mart, I effing love you!! I have so much adoration for this spot. My sister used to live in Philadelphia several years before I moved here, and always raved about this speciality mac & cheese food truck she loved. Soon after, Mac Mart became an adorable, unforgettable brick & mortar storefront, touting a bright pink neon sign. Visiting my sister in Philadelphia for the first time years ago, she made it a point to bring me to try her very favorite mac and cheese. (I should note that we are HUGE mac & cheese connoisseurs in our family, so I knew this was gonna be good). I immediately fell in love with the cheesy, creamy, decadent, flavorful, (and highly customizable!) macaroni noodle goodness. What an experience! So many add-ons, toppings, and flavor combinations to try! You absolutely cannot go wrong with a comforting serving of mac cheese, lovingly adorned in those iconic green containers. Visiting Mac Mart has become a nostalgia trip for me. Fond memories of bonding with my sister over our love for mac & cheese have evolved into our shared love for Mac Mart. Now, whenever she visits me in Philadelphia, we always make it a point to share our favorite Mac Mart bowls together. Thank you Mac Mart!!!

I’m not gonna lie but this is so good and it’s a really great set of options on the menu. The weather was perfect and the two of us plus our dog had a great time sitting outside with the bustle of city life around us. The staff were very friendly, the service was really quick and the food was amazing. The ‘wit’ Mac was full of caramelized onions with just the right amount of ketchup and the potato chip panko crunch gave it a nice crispy crunchy flavor that was a perfect complement and contrast to the mac n cheese- cooked just right. My companion had the in the buff which I of course tried. The zesty buffalo sauce gave it a mouthwatering tingle and Pam Pam’s buttermilk ranch balanced it out perfectly and again the mac n cheese was just the right tenderness and cheesiness to make my mouth water as I am typing this! We will definitely be back soon and I I will eventually order the macarollis that looks so good in the picture! Thank you Mac Mart for being part of the great community of people who have established their business in Philadelphia - a great city for all kinds of foodies!
