Mulberry We had heard all these great things about mulberry and decided to give it a shot. Reviews looked great, the IG posts, etc. Luckily for us, we got in for restaurant week, so the damage to my wallet wasn't that bad. We started with the mushroom confit gnocchi. This is where the evening started downhill. The gnocchi was ice cold. Not lukewarm and barely edible. A dish like that needs to be hot, or it will lock up and be a congealed mess—0 for 1. My wife chose the filet, and I went with the lamb. To say my lamb was undercooked is an understatement, at the very least. I'm not sure it saw any heat at all. Raw and deep red. What was interesting was that the server and manager both commented how rare it was (and inedible), and neither offered to take it off the bill or refire another plate. Some soggy lattice-looking potatoes under the lamb, which was very unpleasant to eat. Why may you ask, I didn't ask to have it refired; let me explain. The kitchen was 0 for four, and the odds were not in my favor that the 5th try would be the magic one. There could not have been anyone checking the dishes as they were going out as nothing was hot, let alone cooked well. My wife's filet was overcooked as I tried some since I had no entree. The mashed potatoes were, you guessed it, cold. At this point, we were done. The server did comp me my first drink, which ironically was the only good thing I consumed all evening. The creme brulee was bruleed a bit much and burnt. 0 for 6. What a disappointment.

This was my first and unfortunately my last visit to this establishment. I was really looking forward to this place after the rave reviews on Instagram only to be met with subpar dishes. The staff and the relatively short wait time were the saving graces of this place. The caramel apple margarita left the caramel and apple to be desired… the champagne mule was great! The Brussel sprouts were so greasy that when I bit into it, it shot hot grease water down my throat…the wings were okay…mostly heat no flavor. My shrimp tacos were decent was only disappointed in the fact that it was only 2 tacos for $18 I would at least expect 3…my fries were a tad bit salty which made it even funnier that the chicken sandwich was virtually unseasoned. The burgers were also decent. The rack of lamb was wayyy over salted, rendering the dish a shattering disappointment. The curry mussels were okay would’ve been better if served over rice…the staff was great though!

Went with a group for lunch. It was not busy and the table service was good. The best part of this place is the very cool atmosphere. I will come back for drinks for sure. The food was very underwhelming. Not impressed by any of the 12 dishes served to our table. My chicken spaetzle had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Chicken had weird texture and no flavor, spaetzle also had zero flavor. Disappointing and odd lunch. For $30+ for a lunch dish I expected something done well and delicious. No one at the table raved about their food. On to the positive. Great atmosphere and would love to spend time here. Hoping it was an off day for the kitchen but will go for drinks. Loved the atmosphere.

It's unfortunate to have to write this review, but it's necessary so other customers are aware and hopefully won't have to experience what we did. We had a 13 person bachelorette brunch booked WELL in advance here. The Maid of Honor had the email booking confirmation and also called the restuarant twice to confirm our brunch. All was confirmed. When we arrived there on Saturday (2/4/23) around 12:10pm for our 12:30pm reservation. We were told there seemed to be some "miscommunication" or "confusion" on their end because they did not have our reservation. There was one person who spoke with us and he told us there were no other managers to speak to about this. After about 10 minutes he offered for all 13 of us to sit at the bar or we could eat brunch on the couches in the waiting area...... We asked if tables could be set up and he said they did not have any. Those were our options.....

The maid of honor asked/suggested if we could use the private back room, the gentleman speaking with us said yes. After then saying yes, he returned back after 10 minutes to say they could not host our party nor could the kitchen handle our 13 person table. Our compensation was a glass of champagne for each person in our party. By this point it was 12:40pm and of course most brunch places in Philly are totally booked. We were lucky enough to get a table down the block at Con Murphy's Irish Pub down the block. Who seated us immediately, food was OUTSTANDING, and service was EXCEPTIONAL. I guess everything happens for a reason because I don't think our time would have been enjoyable had we stayed at The Mulberry. While it may have been a mix up on their end. There was little to no customer service or any accommodations. While he eventually was transparent with us, we wasted 30 minutes trying to find a solution when it could have just been said from the start. Our Maids of Honor were the ones making half the suggestions. I understand if the man power in the kitchen can't handle it. But it was a bachelorette party, it's a very special celebration and we were extremely disappointed. It would be hard for me to go back to this restuarant or suggest it for large groups in fear they may make this mistake again. Especially after there was email confirmation and 2 additional phone calls to confirm.(Phone calls made by us not the restuarant). Their website described them as an "upscale pub." I don't know if that would be the correct term to use considering they weren't able to accommodate our party and couldn't think on their feet to help accommodate us. I would expect more from an "upscale" establishment. If you choose to do a large party here, an email and 2 phone calls isn't enough, apparently, so make sure you call 3+ times. Overall, a huge disappointment and very...

Do not dine here! This place doesn’t not have quality food or service. We had a group of seven for a 7pm Thursday reservation. It wasn’t busy except for the crowd of drinkers standing in the bar area. There was a loud roar coming from the bar area. It made it hard to have a conversation at the table. They need to install sound baffles in the ceiling or partitions between the bar and dining area. We ordered drinks and two of us ordered the same martini. When they came out they looked like different drinks because of the color. It was a drink on their own cocktail menu too. Mine was dark brown while my friends was tan and white at the top. I believe they forgot to add the whip cream to the top of mine. Both drinks did not have much vodka for the price and small size you should get a little bite from the vodka. We placed our diner order. After 5 mins the waitress came back out and said one of the entrees was not available. This is why you have a waitstaff and why you tip them. After about 25 mins, we got our food except two people did not receive their steak and frites entree. It took them more than 15 mins for theirs to come out. Unfortunately some of us were already finished. Waitress also served the steak entrees to the wrong guests. One ordered medium well and the other was rare. He had already started eating it so it was too late to switch back. The other friend also didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes for another steak. He cancelled the order and didn’t have any dinner. Two of us ordered the Chicken Parmesan with a arugula salad. They were also not portioned correctly. I had a large chicken Parmesan while my friend’s portion looked half the side of mine. The arugula salad only contained arugula. The salad is defined as chopped or sliced vegetables or fruit not just one leafy vegetable. We had the same salad and mine had a light and I mean light vinaigrette dressing while his tasted like salt. The chicken Parmesan and chicken schnitzel sandwich had the same breaded chicken. The sandwich just placed the chicken patty between a bun while the chicken Parmesan had an ungenerous portion tomato sauce spread over the top. They were not seasoned well and lacked any nice plating or garnish.

This is the second visit and with equal disappointment. I should have learned the first time but I believe in second chances. They got there chance and it was their last. They are fine as a happy hour location but I do not recommend for dinner.

I recently had the pleasure of booking a work happy hour at The Mulberry in Philadelphia, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. If you're searching for the perfect spot for a work happy hour in Philadelphia, look no further!

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance at The Mulberry set the tone for an enjoyable evening. The warm and inviting decor, coupled with dimmed lighting and tasteful music, created a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere that was perfect for winding down after a long day at the office.

One of the standout features of The Mulberry is their impressive drink selection. The happy hour specials were not only wallet-friendly but also offered a wide variety of options. Whether you're a fan of craft cocktails, beer, or wine, The Mulberry has something to please every palate. I highly recommend trying their signature cocktails – they're both creative and delicious. The bartenders are true mixology artists, and they take great pride in their craft.

Now, let's talk about the food. The Mulberry's happy hour menu features an array of mouthwatering bites that are perfect for sharing. The portions were generous, and everything we ordered was expertly prepared. From the crispy calamari to the delectable sliders, each dish was bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the assortment of flatbreads; they were a hit with everyone at our table.

What truly sets The Mulberry apart is their attentive and friendly staff. The service was top-notch throughout our visit. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. The staff ensured that our glasses were never empty and went above and beyond to make our work happy hour a memorable one.

As someone who values good conversation, I appreciated the seating arrangements at The Mulberry. The layout allowed for easy conversation without having to shout over loud music or other distractions. It created the ideal environment for building stronger connections with my colleagues outside of the office.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a superb venue for a work happy hour in Philadelphia, The Mulberry is an excellent choice. The impeccable service, fantastic food, and diverse drink selection make it a standout option for any group gathering. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to The Mulberry – it's a gem in the Philadelphia...
