It's unfortunate to have to write this review, but it's necessary so other customers are aware and hopefully won't have to experience what we did. We had a 13 person bachelorette brunch booked WELL in advance here. The Maid of Honor had the email booking confirmation and also called the restuarant twice to confirm our brunch. All was confirmed. When we arrived there on Saturday (2/4/23) around 12:10pm for our 12:30pm reservation. We were told there seemed to be some "miscommunication" or "confusion" on their end because they did not have our reservation. There was one person who spoke with us and he told us there were no other managers to speak to about this. After about 10 minutes he offered for all 13 of us to sit at the bar or we could eat brunch on the couches in the waiting area...... We asked if tables could be set up and he said they did not have any. Those were our options.....
The maid of honor asked/suggested if we could use the private back room, the gentleman speaking with us said yes. After then saying yes, he returned back after 10 minutes to say they could not host our party nor could the kitchen handle our 13 person table. Our compensation was a glass of champagne for each person in our party. By this point it was 12:40pm and of course most brunch places in Philly are totally booked. We were lucky enough to get a table down the block at Con Murphy's Irish Pub down the block. Who seated us immediately, food was OUTSTANDING, and service was EXCEPTIONAL. I guess everything happens for a reason because I don't think our time would have been enjoyable had we stayed at The Mulberry. While it may have been a mix up on their end. There was little to no customer service or any accommodations. While he eventually was transparent with us, we wasted 30 minutes trying to find a solution when it could have just been said from the start. Our Maids of Honor were the ones making half the suggestions. I understand if the man power in the kitchen can't handle it. But it was a bachelorette party, it's a very special celebration and we were extremely disappointed. It would be hard for me to go back to this restuarant or suggest it for large groups in fear they may make this mistake again. Especially after there was email confirmation and 2 additional phone calls to confirm.(Phone calls made by us not the restuarant). Their website described them as an "upscale pub." I don't know if that would be the correct term to use considering they weren't able to accommodate our party and couldn't think on their feet to help accommodate us. I would expect more from an "upscale" establishment. If you choose to do a large party here, an email and 2 phone calls isn't enough, apparently, so make sure you call 3+ times. Overall, a huge disappointment and very...
Read moreDo not dine here! This place doesn’t not have quality food or service. We had a group of seven for a 7pm Thursday reservation. It wasn’t busy except for the crowd of drinkers standing in the bar area. There was a loud roar coming from the bar area. It made it hard to have a conversation at the table. They need to install sound baffles in the ceiling or partitions between the bar and dining area. We ordered drinks and two of us ordered the same martini. When they came out they looked like different drinks because of the color. It was a drink on their own cocktail menu too. Mine was dark brown while my friends was tan and white at the top. I believe they forgot to add the whip cream to the top of mine. Both drinks did not have much vodka for the price and small size you should get a little bite from the vodka. We placed our diner order. After 5 mins the waitress came back out and said one of the entrees was not available. This is why you have a waitstaff and why you tip them. After about 25 mins, we got our food except two people did not receive their steak and frites entree. It took them more than 15 mins for theirs to come out. Unfortunately some of us were already finished. Waitress also served the steak entrees to the wrong guests. One ordered medium well and the other was rare. He had already started eating it so it was too late to switch back. The other friend also didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes for another steak. He cancelled the order and didn’t have any dinner. Two of us ordered the Chicken Parmesan with a arugula salad. They were also not portioned correctly. I had a large chicken Parmesan while my friend’s portion looked half the side of mine. The arugula salad only contained arugula. The salad is defined as chopped or sliced vegetables or fruit not just one leafy vegetable. We had the same salad and mine had a light and I mean light vinaigrette dressing while his tasted like salt. The chicken Parmesan and chicken schnitzel sandwich had the same breaded chicken. The sandwich just placed the chicken patty between a bun while the chicken Parmesan had an ungenerous portion tomato sauce spread over the top. They were not seasoned well and lacked any nice plating or garnish.

This is the second visit and with equal disappointment. I should have learned the first time but I believe in second chances. They got there chance and it was their last. They are fine as a happy hour location but I do not recommend for dinner.
