LOVE Rocco's for their Italian sausage grinders. In fact, they're probably THE best in the entire city (find me a place that offers a tastier version that's linger and thicker for the price, I dare you!).
They get docked a point, however, because of their meatball parm. The meatballs barely have any flavor (think: soggy cardboard), the sauce is also flavorless (it could be made sweet; this stuff lacked anything other than high sodium). I'm guessing why it's (no longer) advertised on their menu. (also note, this is the Rocco's at Castor and the Blvd, YMMV on the other Rocco's?).
Still, don't let this review fool you. They have THE BEST Italian sausage here in Philly. I'd rate it a perfect 5/5. So good that whenever I leave and come back home, I think about Rocco's first thing when I crave a hot italian sausage grinder!
