Alright, it's time someone told the truth about this place. This used to be one of my favorite places to shop for groceries, but over the past, I'd say, two years, it's gotten steadily worse and worse. Every time I go there, you can almost reliably count on someone sitting out at the front who will either out and out beg you for money, or try to strong arm you into returning your cart for you just so they can take your quarter from your cart. It wouldn't be a big deal if this was harmless, but it's not. About three months ago when I told a guy I would return my own cart and I wanted my own quarter back, he got very aggressive and threatened to knock me out. Mind you, this very guy had been hanging around this Aldi's for MONTHS and nothing was EVER done about it. The reason I am writing this review TODAY is because there was ANOTHER beggar at the front door today, who, after I refused to give him money, decided to smack my chest. I'm not sure why, I guess to try and intimidate me or something? Either way, not even about 10 minutes later a couple comes in, a young man and a young woman, who are getting into a verbal altercation with this very same beggar. Except the beggar is making his way INTO the store and going after the couple, the argument escalates until the boyfriend PULLS OUT A GUN. Thankfully the staff de-escalated the situation and called the police. While I do not envy what the staff has to put up with at this location, it doesn't change the fact that this place has become an uncomfortable, and quite frankly, pretty unsafe place to shop. I am never coming back here again. Seriously, someone at Aldi's corporate needs to consider hiring security guards for...
Read moregreat place to shop if you can be okay with no name brands . everything isn't a complete hit ,but workable .
never had a problem with anything bought here. fruit, veg dept is really reasonable. dairy has greek yougurt ,the large container cheaper than shoprite ,around $3.75. bacon was over 4 bucks but we found a decent one .
canned veggies have gone up monthly, but still worth buying ,with the exception of canned mix veggies .
in back of the store there is humus ( cheaper than shoprite ),not a " known " brand but good .also an assortment of cheeses with shredded cheese, swiss, sandwhich cheese reasonably priced .
lots to explore .go up and down every aisle ,we do ,and we usually find the aisles full of product and neat .
store gets long lines though .I have been in line with one cashier open .cashiers are quick ,but still.
the "aisle of savings " is generally a big mess . last week they had bras and leggings ,gnomes, kids stuff in the aisle . bathroom is pretty clean from the few times an emergency popped up . also it's randomly closed,...
Read moreThe store was clean and fairly stocked on dry goods, though paper products were in low supply. You had what I wanted. Staff were friendly. BUT NOT ENOUGH CASHIERS WORKING! Only 2-LINES OPEN! AND YOU DON'T HAVE AN EXPRESS LANE!
I was the 12th customer in my line and there were easily 15 in the other line. A 3rd lane opened when I became the 3rd person nearest the checkout. And this cashier stopped stocking to help. GOOD THING! SHE WAS FAST AT THE CHECKOUT.
PLEASE, HELP US GET IN AND OUT QUICKLY!
The customer ahead of me, #11, waited patiently to buy JUST 2-bags of pistachios. That was too long a wait! REALLY!! YOU MUST DO BETTER!
Unlike many I don't shop when I NEED TO. I SHOP IN ADVANCE.
IF THE LINES ARE LIKE THIS AGAIN, THEN I'LL LEAVE AND GO TO THE...
