Café Saigon — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Although we have been going here for the past year, the waiter chased us down for a tip. This has never happened to us. When was tipping mandatory here? I have NEVER been chased down and demanded to pay for tips EVER. What made them think they deserved it after causing such a scene? If you want to experience the great food at Cafe Saigon, I implore you to NOT eat in, rather ORDER OUT!

The waiter was not welcoming. We were directed to our table and the waiter just tossed down the menu. There were no interactions at all. For example, no food recommendations, drinks, etc. After getting our food, the waiter did not ask how the food was, or if we missed any orders. After we have finished eating and paid our bill. We were chased down and demanded that a tip must be paid.

Honestly, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is great, and the service is impeccable. I really only have one problem-well actually-two problems. The girls behind the front desk appear to have been recruited from a local circus. The wacky hijinks they get into while they're "working" are grounds for immediate termination, if only they weren't so entertaining to watch. I've spoken to many other patrons of this establishment, and 76% have said that those two and their unintentional performances are roughly half of the reason they come here.
