The pho here is really good. Noodles are done perfectly with flavorful broth and tender beef briskets. Orders are quick. My go-to spot for pho in Philly. The service is quite lacking and unfriendly as others has described, but it could be easily overlooked by the tasty pho. Sometimes they could be quite rude, which could be a bit upsetting. My biggest complaint is the sanitation of the place.
(Edit: No longer a 5/5 spot... Prices has gone up and portion size has decreased. The quality is hit-or-miss now where half of the time, the quality of the vegetables sides and the meats would not be fresh at times. The briskets would have some gamey taste to it which is evident it's been stored too long. Sanitation of the place still needs work - especially their old and dirty utensils (bunch of chipped chop sticks). It would be more hygienic if they proved disposable ones. Also, one time I found a small rubber band inside my bowl of pho. Accidents happen, sure, but when I told them about it, they couldn't care less. No apology, nothing. I've come here quite a lot but now I rather make the longer trip and go down to the one in...
Read moreI have been coming here for years but today was different. I went there this afternoon and ordered a bowl of soup. I then went to the register to pay for my meal and before I could even get back to my table to collect my belongings and leave a tip the old lady who was my waitress started flailing and yelling and demanding a tip. All of the employees there then joined in and started yelling and telling me that I had to clean my own table. They also refused to let me use the bathroom to wash my hands. I guess the bathrooms there are Asian only. I wouldn't eat there again if it were free, they don't deserve the business. How dare you demand a tip in this way. The customer service is never been very good so there was little margin for error to begin with. I will be reporting you to the better...
