Sally is one of our absolute favorite restaurants in Philadelphia, and we feel lucky to have it right in our neighborhood. It reflects everything we love about this city—great food, a welcoming spirit, and an effortlessly stylish yet relaxed atmosphere. The setting is always right, whether you’re dining indoors or enjoying the shaded outdoor tables in the early evening (a real gift when you’re with a two-year-old!).
The menu is outstanding and thoughtfully curated. We find ourselves repeatedly drawn to a few standouts—the Caesar salad, the meatballs, and the pizza topped with shredded Italian-style sausage. Each dish strikes the perfect balance of comfort and creativity, and everything feels priced fairly, which makes coming back all the more enjoyable.
The staff truly elevates the experience. They’re not only professional and attentive but also warm and genuinely inclusive. Sally has a subtle way of celebrating diversity and individuality that feels completely organic and authentic. It’s the kind of place you feel proud to bring out-of-town friends to when you want to show them what makes Philly such a special place to live.
We love Sally, and we’ll be back again and again. Stylish, low-key, and community-driven, this is what a neighborhood...
Read moreWe’ve lived here for almost two years and spent a long time trying to make Sally a “regular” spot for us. Their pizza is delicious, as are their veggies and wines (salads are hit-or-miss, sometimes a little salty). Unfortunately, their service has discouraged us from coming back. Although we were going almost weekly at one point and regularly bringing friends/family from out of town, no one ever acknowledged that they had seen us before. They were perfectly nice when we sat down, and we weren’t looking for anything crazy, but it was just weird and a little unsettlingly to talk to someone every week for three months and have them act like they’ve never seen you before. We were also disappointed that they stopped changing more of their menu seasonally, now it’s just one pizza special and some drinks that rotate. Anyways 3 stars because food is great but menu is limited, service is nice but impersonal, phone service is hit or miss (sometimes really nice, tonight got told to call back later because they couldn’t order ahead, then when we called back were told it was too busy). Still solid but not outstanding place— feels like they used to take more pride in...
Read moreI have been doing Keto for the last 4 months, and decided to break it for some Pizza in Philly. I am so sad that I don't live here and can get Sally anytime I want. The pizza I got tonight is quite possibly the best pizza I have ever had, and pizza is my favorite food.
I got the red base pie, added basil, garlic, pepperoni and buffalo mozzarella. I also got the hot honey on the side and trickled some over each slice as I ate the pie. I was in heaven eating this work of art, amazing.
Pickup was easy, as soon as you walk in the door there is a employee managing the orders and sitting people at tables if they are eating in. I let her know I was a little earlyfor the pickup and she assured me she would bring it right out to me as soon as it was ready. I waited outside as the weather was nice. A few minutes later the employee came out and handed me the pies with a smile, she must have known the treat I was in for when I got back to my place to eat.
Next time I come to Philly, I am coming to Sally's and getting this order again, what a gem, great food, great people. Thank you so much for making my delicious dinner...
