This was my first time going to this Good Karma location and it was the complete opposite from what I usually experience at the 10th and Pine location. The workers were talking so loudly they were practically yelling, and it was all just them bad mouthing their coworkers. They weren’t even considerate enough to exclude names. I know name of someone who is “on a 6 day probation” and the reasons why they are on it, I heard two people laughing at and complaining about insert name for asking too many questions, and not wanting to work with insert name because they are a horrible employee and terrible worker. The main person seems to be in management because they also complained that they got in trouble for allowing people to switch shifts. I can’t imagine what working with bullies like this must be like and even if these are legit issues (which I doubt because it truly just sounds like they like to gossip) I don’t need to be hearing about it at max volume when I’m trying to drink my coffee. I hope these people won’t be working there for much longer, regardless I will definitely not be going back to...
Read moreI used to really like this place, and would come by occasionally to get some work done on weekend mornings. The breakfast sandwiches and coffee are good, but since the last time I’ve been here they’ve apparently put a very strict firewall up that prevents you from going to any page that is not Facebook or Google. This is ridiculous and prevents you from getting anything productive done. Don’t plan on coming back again.
EDIT: 7/19/2018 I appreciate the owners response and will update this to 2 stars to reflect positive experiences prior to this one, but wanted to note that I did ask the staff about it and they were very unhelpful, and basically shrugged off my question and just pointed out the wifi password. I get they're baristas and not tech support, but their complete lack of concern or effort was still...
Read moreThis used to be a five star review but it is has been removed because of what to me is a problem that will cause me to no longer go there. It wasn’t good because of the food, service or atmosphere. It was the dependable peace and quiet. They hired someone who appears to be a manager but acts like a middle schooler just let out of school. She is constantly yelling in the cafe and never is even polite enough to say good morning, especially to men. I can no longer sit there and relax in a peaceful environment. I have been going there for years to have coffee with my dog on our walks and was recently told that we couldn’t stay. First time in many years. It’s the last straw. Good karma has been officially removed from my routine until they fire that horrific manager....
