I have never been so disrespected and upset by a business in my entire life. My girlfriend forwarded me a link to order dinner and apparently it was the wrong link. When I spoke to the woman who works behind the bar on the phone she let me know I had the wrong menu and I needed to go to “sanchopistolas.com” when I checked back to the link my gf sent it was exactly “sanchopistolas.com” so I called back to try to get some clarification but I was told again it was the wrong link and so rudely hung up on. Okay I made a mistake as a customer but in the service industry you cannot be horrible to that customer and hang up, you help them through the process and explain how to find the right menu which did not happen. I get there after finding the right menu and placing my order and showed the woman I spoke to on the phone where the mix up came from and she is even more rude in person. I am not the type to ask for a manager or write a review...check this is my first one ever. The woman I dealt with got loud and aggressive and showed me where her manager was and a man followed me out. I assumed this was the manager coming to apologize and ask what happened but no it was another employee who was just as rude. He said “you can write a review we don’t care about those and you can stop doing business with us we won’t miss you.” Well I will never do business with them again and I hope no one else will either. They made me feel horrible and they cannot get away with treating...

We were having a great time and enjoying the food at this place although we got a carafe with warm water to start. The taco dish only included 2 small tacos which were good, but a bit expensive for the portion. The corn on the cob and plátanos were delicious and plentiful which you kind of needed to have a full meal. The nachos were tasty as well. Our server was good and we probably would’ve stayed longer and spent more money for drinks especially, but the food runner had VERY obnoxious and offensive body odor. Probably the worse I’ve ever smelled for anyone who worked in a restaurant. It wasn’t regular oh some needs more deodorant, this was terrible. I would not have ordered anything if I smelled that horrid body odor smell first. The space of the restaurant is small, so I knew we couldn’t be the only ones who smelled it. My husband was congested when we got there, but the smell helped clear the sinuses which I guess is an upside. I wouldn’t eat here again because I’m not sure about their standards especially hygienic standards. If not for the smell, I would’ve given 4, possibly 5 stars, but that...

Creative, American- Mexican. The food is excellent; highly recommend the spicy pork nachos, queso fundido (a vat of tangy cheese with chorizo in it), freedom tacos (3 to an order, classic, hard shell ground kobe beef, like you used to get for school lunch, but elevated) and Mahi tacos. Other standouts, in no particular order are the tuna tiradito (essentially, tuna sashimi, soaked in soy and citrus, finished with jalapeños), the churros (fried dough, rolled in cinnamon sugar) and HOLY GOD THE MARGARITAS!!!! In summer, the pickled watermelon marg is literally my favorite drink on Earth; in winter, the ginger pear is really tasty also. As are all the rest of the flavors; guava, blood orange and the classic are all excellent ones I've tried. This is one of my go to places; the service is good, drinks are excellent, great selection of tequila and beer, fun and creative specials... as with many restaurants in Philly, it isn't cheap, but quality isn't and...

Went here to grab a quick bite on Saturday night - we all also kind of wanted margaritas so went to this place near my friend's apartment. As soon as we got there we were immediately seated outside - got there right before the dinner rush. I got a Passion Fruit Margarita which was pretty good. I also ordered the Chicken Tinga Tacos. It only came in an order of two but it was actually really filling - they really packed the taco which I appreciate! We did order some platanos/sweet Fried Plantains which were ok (the crema that was on we asked to be on the side and felt it changed the taste a little for us). My friends also got the Tortilla Soup which they said was pretty good, filling and warming on that cool evening. Overall, decent spot so you should go check it out.

Great place to grab drinks and food before the Fillmore. Staff is great as well. Update: 2/22/2022. The restaurant just keeps getting better. Food is always consistently good. Cocktails are nice. And it feels like one of the only places that's open for lunch in the area that's worth going to. Update: 11/3/22. It's this place the best Mexican food in the area? Yeah, probably. Is it open for lunch unlike the others, oh yeah. Is it also a great place to watch a game, no doubt. It's the best Jerry, the best. Update: January 29th. Stop arguing about the best wings in Philly. This Mexican restaurant knows what they are doing. Perfect sauce high quality blue cheese. Boom.
