I'm was born, raised and lived my entire life in Southern California, so I KNOW good tacos. Hands down, best tacos you will find in South Philly. My husband and I were in heaven when we discovered this food tuck. These are much larger than your normal street tacos from TJ or LA, so don't make the mistake I did and ordered 5 tacos haha. Definitely 2 is enough, but 1 order of tacos comes with 3 tacos! You can order them the true Mexican style with just cilantro, onions and salsa or you can do the other versions with lettuce, cheese and salsa. They have the option of tortas, quesadillas and burritos also, which we have tried as well and they don't disappoint. They can get really busy in the evenings, especially close to closing time, so you can call ahead to place orders to pick up. They have Horchata and Melon water both so so so good. If you are in the area, definitely stop by and try it. They are only set up Wednesday-Sundays from...
Read moreThis used to be one of the best if not the best taco truck in Philadelphia, now it's NOT anymore! The flavors of the taco meats are no longer the same as they used to be. Out of three tacos (chicken, steak and pork) a good 50% of the steak and pork meat is fat, chewy and inedible (and i like fat! Not that cewy rubbery kind tho!) We usd to gett all steak tacos (many years ago, when they were delicious and really good quality meat!) Then we sloghtly eliminated the steak and went for only chicken and pork...now even the pork is very fatty. I've waited a couple years before writing this as I thought it was just a bad day at first...but quality went downhill, worse and worse every time we went there for the past two years or so. I guess another main place for my family to go get take out food, is gone! So disappointed and frustrated as we were really...
Read moreI am heartbroken after what happened to me because the food is so good.
My kid's dad usually orders for us (he is Mexican and I'm black). I decided to take my parents to taste the food for the first time. A woman too my order and I was charged $10, for my platter and my mom was charged $10 for hers (3 tacos each) and I thought nothing of it other than they must have increased the price... until I was sharing the story with my kid's dad. He stopped me and asked if they went up a dollar. I figured they did. Then I asked him to call because they may have overcharged me for not being Mexican.
Yup. When he called it was $9 for the same thing i had just ordered a few hours earlier. He called them and confronted them about the price change. I'm not storming 5 minutes away for $2 but lying about the...
