We have dined at this location several times in the past and always had good food and service. Last night we were asked if we wanted to be seated on the rooftop, and against my better judgement, we said yes. It was dark, cramped and the music was way too loud. My husband and I ordered cocktails. He got his, I did not get mine. Our absentee waitress nowhere to be found, I went to the bar myself and actually waited quite a while just to be noticed. When I was finally acknowledged, I got my drink, paid with a $20 and the bartender never gave me my change ($13 drink, sorry you're not getting a 50% tip) so I waited and waited. She never came over with my change. So I went to the other side of the bar where he was working and stood right in front of her and she totally ignored me. I went to the other bartender, told her "she took my $20 and never gave me my $7 change" - to which the other bartender said "Oh ok,...." and I waited a bit longer and still nothing happened. Went to the hostess and said "yeah, going to need to see a manager." In the meantime, my husband said that the waitress had returned to our table, comped the drinks (by the way my drink still never made it to our table and her response to that was "I don't know what the problem is...") So that's it. I order something from the menu, I don't get it, so it's too bad for me and oh well. Manager did come over and apologize and gave me my $20 back from the bartender , but I would think he would want to know which bartender is basically keeping people's money - you know, theft! When our food finally came, my husband got his entrée and I just sat there for 10 minutes with no food. Had to flag the manager AGAIN to ask where is my food? Don't know if sitting on the patio terrace was the issue but yikes, doubtful I will be back here anytime soon. FYI, the table adjacent to us with eight people, who were seated 20 minutes after us were served, ate, paid and left BEFORE us - a table...
Read moreCame here for a nice dinner while visiting Philadelphia. I didn't have reservations, but chanced coming anyways. Luckily, there were a few seating options. The hostesses were very nice and found a table with the swinging seats upstairs. I initially was worried the swinging chairs would move too much and be uncomfortable. However, the chairs are very stable and you quickly forget they're swings. The lights and decorations created a nice ambiance for dinner.
Gavin was our waiter and he did an amazing job throughout the night. He was very friendly, helpful, engaging, and full of recommendations. The drink and food menus were very interesting as there were so many unique flavor combinations and fusions. A strong Asian fusion, but some other fusions too. Since these are small plates meant to be shared, ordered a little bit of everything. Ordered the Thai Coconut Chicken Soup, Chilled Sesame Noodles, Crispy Calamari Salad, and the Eggplant Skewers. For the drinks, went down the Cocktail list and tried them all.
Food tasted great! There were so many unique combination of flavors that I didn't expect. There were fusions I haven't seen before or ever would've expected. However, all the flavors and fusions went together perfectly. It made for great conversation and made the dinner a lot of fun. As far as the cocktails, they were all prepared and presented nicely. To finish the meal, ordered the Ice Cream & Sorbet and the Coconut Tapioca Pudding which was equally as good.
Great food and drinks that was served with great...
Read moreSuch a cool restaurant with a great ambiance and awesome drinks! The food is anything but exceptional as well. Came with a friend and shared a few dishes to try as much as we could. We started with the Lobster Pop Tart, and my gosh it was incredible. Rich, decadent, tender bits of lobster in a flaky, moist puff pastry. The pastry was like the center portion of a pot pie, it was absolutely delicious. For our entrees we got the Korean Fried Chicken, Cheesesteak Eggrolls, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Pastrami Fried Rice. The Korean fried chicken was super tender considering how crispy the breading was, and how large the actual pieces of chicken were. The sauce was fantastic as well. The cheesesteak eggrolls surprised me with how tender and delicious they were. They came with a spicy ketchup as well as a spicy type of giardiniera.. highly recommend putting both in the egg roll, both enhance the dish amazingly. The chicken tikka masala was PACKED with flavor. Spooning it over the basmati rice and using a hint of the cucumber sauce that comes with it was just ::chefs kiss:: 🤌🏻 spectacular. One of the tastier Tikka Masala dishes I’ve had outside of an Indian specific restaurant. Then came the pastrami fried rice which had insanely tender pieces of pastrami mixed in with fried rice and topped with just a drizzle of this spicy mustard that completely enhances the dish. Will absolutely be back and will be sampling as much of the menu as I can. Highly recommend for incredible interior decor, great cocktails, and top notch food! You will...
