Beware Ryan is taking pictures of other peopleā€˜s nail art and scamming clients to come in. I just saw a fake review with a picture of Nails he did not do and reverse image searched the picture and found the salon who actually did the nails and contacted them. Please look at attached pictures. Disgusting he would put his name on somebody else’s art & be leaving FAKE REVIEWS ON HIS BUSINESS! I’ve been going to the salon for only about three months, but due to the unprofessionalism and lack of attention to detail I cannot recommend. I travel an hour and a half round-trip to go to the salon because I’m new to the area and initially liked the designs that Ryan did. Unfortunately, he does not value customers that tip 20% every time and spend over $100. Instead of refunding me for this sloppy paint job that I also tipped $10 for he offered me a $15 refund. I got a pedicure one time and the woman didn’t do a good job so I do my pedicures at home and just come in for a color change. Why is he charging $40 for a gel color change when they don’t even have to remove the previous polish?? But to not execute a good French to have polish on my skin, crooked lines and translucent color, qualifies for a refund of services. I tipped the pedicure girl $10 and I tipped Ryan $25 for the Nails. The only reason I didn’t notice at the time was because I’ve been to the salon before so I just put on my socks immediately after. One of the 3D flowers petals chipped completely off with 48 hours as well. FOR $200 Every time I get my nails done by Ryan as well I mention I don’t like neon colors, one of my hands is mint green like I wanted, but the other hand he saturated the airbrush color too much and it’s neon. Initially, I didn’t want to make complaints at the salon because it was full and he had another appointment so he couldn’t change the color anyway. But then one of the polishes on my nails ended up chipping within 24 hours so I brought everything to his attention within that timeframe and again was only offered a refund of $15 on $200. I also recognized that the salon one of the nails wasn’t even completely painted. I’m willing to overlook a mistake but not several for $200. Unfortunately, he’s lost a customer. Likewise see the attached screenshot of the designs I wanted, he completely skipped on one of the designs didn’t even mention it and didn’t apologize. He did that on another occasion as well when he was running short on time again, no apology no mention of not completing the design. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt the first time, but when something happens the second time it’s bound to become a pattern. If you are particular about your Nails go elsewhere they do not value their customers here even the ones who generously tip 20%. It appears he can do basic designs, but beware, if there’s an issue, he is unwilling to refund for his own mistakes. Likewise, it seems like he has been soliciting for good reviews since I posted this, still not impressed by any of the designs people have posted. It doesn’t negate the fact that he messed mine up & was unwilling to rectify the situation. Felt very uncomfortable and unprofessional the way Ryan tried to insist three times that I use the ATM instead of the credit card I wanted to pay with. I have even tipped in cash. Update in response to owner: Ryan when you’re spending $200 you shouldn’t need to come all the way back to the salon especially when the customer travels an hour and a half round-trip to ā€œfix to nails ā€œit’s not just two nails it’s also the color change on my feet. I don’t have time to come and spend another hour at the salon because you’re charging people $200 but not offering stellar services. Reposting because Ryan seems to have scrubbed/deleted previous review! It’s been literally seven days and I already have a nail lifting completely. Ten days later 6 nails lifting completely. Go to envy Nails at 1500 John F. Kennedy for a really great nail experience !

I almost can’t fully comprehend the terrible experience and service I just received here. Yesterday, my friend waited about 45+ minutes before we were assisted. Once we were helped, we felt unbelievably rushed. The technicians and manager would get up intermittently and work on other customers or perform waxing. The technician doing my pedi chopped my toe nails are uneven angles. I was getting my finger nails done as well and a technician began chiseling and hand filing the existing gel off with a metal cuticle tool. She was hitting my skin around the nail with the file so it became red and irritated. The manager asked if I wanted my nails round or square. I said round. She filed them square all the way down to my nail bed. After failing to successfully convey that this was not what I wanted, I told her she didn’t have to file them, but she still did. Then this morning, after spending 2.5+ hours there, my friend and I were so happy to have left, because it was not at all relaxing — it was rushed and uncomfortable. Last night, I noticed my nails tips were turning green (my polish was white) -- see attached pics. I asked a license cosmologist, and she said that this would happen if the nail tips had been filed AFTER the gel top coat was applied (the UV barrier would have been compromised and the gel color would absorb UV and become discolored). The manager HAD filed my nail tips after the gel was set — so this was the cause. I went back to the salon and the manager insisted that I had gotten them ā€œdirtyā€ and she would file them down and repair them. The manager filed the top layer (spottily) off. I told her I didn’t think the discoloration was a fault of mine and that I felt that the rushed service may have been the cause. Now, she insisted that the brand OPI has changed this color and that’s why it was like this. I told her this is the only color I get so I don’t believe that to be true. She used every excuse she could. I then just said that I’d be fine with a refund, and she pointed to a hand-written ā€œno refundsā€ sign. I said, ā€œOkay then, you can keep my money this time, but won’t be coming back and I’ll be spending my money and time elsewhereā€ and I walked out. I think the real issue with this place is the management — if that were to change, perhaps so would the overall experience. There were a bunch of littler events that took place, however I did not have enough character space to explain them. I absolutely do not recommend this place. It would be one thing if it was inexpensive, but it’s not.

I had been going to this salon for over a year or so. And then I moved to another part of Philly so when I came back, I saw they had new management. I always get medium/long nail extension with builder gel/poly gel and gel polish. And I used to love the quality of the work and the amount of detail they’d spend to make sure it turned out perfect. Since the new management has been in place, I’ve gone to the salon 3 times. 2/3 of those times, my experience has been bad. This last time I went was the last straw and I will no longer be returning. I got a gel pedicure which was good, but when I was getting my hands done, the work was done so sloppily. I asked for medium length almond nails. The nail tech was clearly rushing through my set and he cut the nails too short and shaped them very unevenly. When he applied the hard gel on top, he put a huge glob of it on top on my nails and buffed it down. But the nails ended up very very thick with gel and uneven on my nails. All the nails are a weird oval shape, and all are shaped with the nails ends pointing upwards. Typically nail techs shape the nail to have an apex that mimics the natural curve of the nail. I even had hard gel stuck to my skin and the polish is flooded in my cuticle too Additionally, I needed my old set off to get a new set. Previously I was never charged for this and now I am and wasn’t told until the end. I would have buffed them off myself had I know, but I got my last set from this same salon 3 weeks prior and it had lifted quite a bit. This is probably the worst set of nails I’ve ever received and am about to spend even more money else where to fix my nails.I would not recommend this place. I paid $75 for this and wish I could get my money back but now I’ll probably have to spend even more to go get this fixed.

It would be one thing if it was inexpensive,...

I even had hard gel stuck to my skin and the polish is flooded in my cuticle too

Additionally, I needed my old set off to get a new set. I paid $75 for this and wish I could get my money back but now I’ll probably have to spend even more to go...
