Big Rice Kitchen — Restaurant in Phoenix

I love authentic, local eats. So exploring Phoenix is going to be a long time hobby of mine, but this place is more than just that. The food was made fresh, no too greasy, and great portion sizes. I prefer my fried rice with vegetables, and their fried rice side didn't come with any at all, but it's my fault for not asking. I was hangry 😌

The sweet and sour sauce was good, but a little liquidity, so I recommend asking it to be put in a separate tied off bag. A nice young women came up and told me the place has been in business for over 20 years and she drives all the way from Avondale for it! I can certainly see why. The sweet and sour chicken was amazing, not too crisp and nice bite sized pieces. I also got lo mein for my friend. He said it was very good and was surprised it was still hot after he had wrapped up what he was doing.

I sooo wish i took pictures of my food but it was too good to stop and take any pictures of. I ordered the bbq pork lo mein BEST lo mein i have ever had usually i put soy sauce on my lo mein but it wasn’t necessary it was delicious without it. I also ordered the egg rolls and those were amazing my husband loved the fact they had dried noodles and wonton chips those are his favorites and most places only have one or the other. Is it a little pricey i would say so but i would pay good money for some good chinese food so it’s definitely worth it because of the taste and portion sizes. We found our new favorite place and can’t wait to come back soon. I also loved when waiting to pay how many regulars they had come in that definitely shows this place is worth...

Ordered here last night,was not very good. Ordered the sesame chicken large order and a large order of shrimp friend rice,first we emptied the dhrimp rice on to a large plate found 8 shrimp .we were lioe really a measly 8 in this big container,it was mostly rice no pea,s or carrots lioe we usually get as for the sesame chicken definately not what i was expecting ,where we usyally get it they cut u0 pieces of real chicken cook it add the sauce and sesame seeds .here it comes in a bag heavily hreaded.more greadong then chicken anf as for sesame seeds i could count how many there were maybe half a table spoon. The rest were completely baren of sesame seeds.will we order there again.sorry but no not worth...
