Hotel Rising — Hotel in Phoenix

As a first-time visitor to Phoenix, I was unfamiliar with the area and unfortunately made the wrong choice with this hotel. I booked based on positive Google reviews, but my experience was completely different. Issues Encountered:

First room had a broken door lock that couldn't be secured After changing rooms, found non-functional refrigerator and phone No linen change during the entire stay, even after placing the room service request tag on the door Overall dingy, dated atmosphere Room appears not to have been renovated in approximately 30 years

It seems the new management has only updated the signage outside while neglecting the actual accommodations. The entire property feels stuck in a time warp with outdated furnishings and poor maintenance. Value Assessment: You're not saving enough to justify these conditions. For approximately $20 more per night, you can find significantly better accommodations in the area with functioning amenities and proper housekeeping. I'm writing this review to provide potential guests with an honest perspective on the current state of this property. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Phoenix, and wish I had known the reality...

I'm so incredibly disappointed, irritated, and beyond put out. We called 2 days prior to our arrival for reservations. I gave my card over the phone. I made sure they understood that we would be in late. I even said don't sell our room. She assured me that doesn't happen. They do sell your room!! We got to the hotel at 11:30 pm. And then I had to spend another hour trying to find a different hotel that had a room. I had to pay another hotel 200 dollars more than my reservations for Hotel Rising. That was so not good business or customer service. I hope they get no more business. Don't trust your reservation. I would like to send them a bill for 200 dollars and my in convenience and the hour it took me to find another hotel. Shame on yall. Don't...

This was one of the worst hotel stays I ever had. When booking, were weren't told the hotel was under renovation. No pool, no ice machine. We had 3 rooms in 4 days. Our first room, outlets didn't work, air conditioner was iffy. After the air quit working, we were moved into another room. That room, the air was great, most of the lights didn't work. When we went back to the room, our keys didn't work. After redoing them 3x, we had to be let in with a key and we were moved again. The third room, the bed spread had cigarette burns in it. The lobby was closed after 6pm and all transactions were through a window.
