First room we were put in smelled like a frat party gone wrong. Vomit smells in the bathroom and bedding were so strong we were given another room. Breakfast is standard for every hotel not bad. Thankful air works great. Pool could use a cleaning but doable. A bunch of creepy guys/ guests drinking all day and night in parking lot and pool area. Even cooking with open flame grills around cars. Room for the price was ok. Nothing fancy. Went to enjoy a cup of wine with my family in the lobby and asked for the remote. Lynne refuses to give me the tv remote stating the supervisor refuses to let anyone change it. Second issue with Lynne is that she came over and instead of speaking to me about my kids decided to tell my 2/3 year olds what to do and what not to do. Ok that’s a big no no. You don’t tell people’s kids what to do. So I directed them to stop touching/ opening the shades to the window (night time) even though no one was having an issue but her. Third issue she seems to love Over exaggerating saying my kids “can not jump on the furniture”! My kids may have climbed up and down but never jumped on a chair. Then she came on over after making calls saying I can’t drink my cup of wine in the lobby and that we had to leave because the lobby is only meant for business use. This right here made me upset. It’s supposed to be kid friendly but she told me my kids couldn’t be here unless I kept them completely quite. Excuse me? Look lady this hotel state it’s kid friendly and that means everything that come with kids. My kids were not THAT loud. May have laughed and giggles and used higher pitches voices but for damn sure didn’t sound like a theme park loud. So don’t get your knickers twisted when kids make noise. My last straw was when I asked for hotel policy for guest stating the no drinking policy. She told me speak the the supervisor and walked off. RUDE... I walked up to the desk after relaxing and chilling out for a few minutes. This time I didn’t have to wait 5 mins for her to return from the back. I got the paperwork and I asked for the corporate number. She refused. I asked for a complaint form. She refused. I asked for the company card and wrote her name down. She raised her voice because my son touched the popcorn machine stating and I quote “your done is ripping apart the popcorn” I looked and he was just touching. Palease lady he’s 2 and can’t rip apart metal. He isn’t freaking hulk. She kept stating I can only get help if I speak to the supervisor in the morning And asked us to leave the lobby. I am astonished at how incredibly I kid friendly this place is and I am not please with how rude she was to me and my kids. I said since open bottles are not allowed anywhere but in the room why was the entire building damn near all outside smoking drugs and drinking even with employees and no response. I gave three stars because the supervisor is actually sweet and helped me and my family with a room change when it was needed and the breakfast is ok. Supervisor also helped me with toiletries when we forgot some. Lynne, shame on your manners. When your happy in life it shows and unhappy shows too. I hope you can find happiness soon because your unhappiness shows a lot. The house keeping for the last three days have been so great and very kind to us. Providing us extra trash bags and towels when swapping out dirty ones. Thank you for that. The little things to help guests is appreciated from a guest/ hotel worker...
Read moreThey have nice clean rooms at comfort inn with microwaves and refrigerators the breakfast is good they have biscuits and gravy sausage bacon or ham they have pastries cereal oatmeal waffles then to drink they have coffee and juices. They have elevators so very accessible for handicapped visitors. There are vending machines and ice machines on every floor. The hotel staff is very friendly. I have been staying here for the past week and it's been a pleasure relaxing by the pool and spa. They also have a fitness center here. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are in the Phoenix area. Now I do need to warn you about one major problem and that is withThe Choice Hotel customer service I do not recommend anybody sign up for any kind of membership through Choice Hotels because they don't honor anything that they say and if you have to call Choice Hotels customer service directly they are very rude and they have 101 excuses as to why they can't honor promotions so just as a precaution don't trust them when they say stay 2 nights get the third night free because they do not stand by their promotion they will give you every excuse in the book as to why they won't give it to you. Then if you ask to speak to a supervisor the people on the phone will tell you there is no supervisor for you to speak with but if you keep insisting eventually they do put somebody on the phone who claims to be a supervisor but yet the "supervisor" is no better than the other person you were originally talking to. The supposed supervisor is just as rude he refuses to listen to anything you have to say you can't answer any of your questions he just reads from what seems to be a script because he repeats himself over and over again even if it has no relevance to the question you asked. He is not able to solve any problems that you are having regarding promotions or Rewards for being a member through Choice Hotels. If the man was truly a supervisor the man would have been able to come up with some kind of solution to the problems we were having regarding promotions and Rewards but the man was not smart enough to do that so I highly doubt the person I was on the phone with was a supervisor now I'm starting to feeling a bit of concern that the people at Choice Hotels customer service are pulling some kind of fraudulent thing because I gave them my credit card number to reserve a room that I was supposed to get for free because of the promotion they're running but like I said they don't honor their promotions they only give 101 excuses as to why they do not honor the promotion so for that reason I have decided to contact the Better Business Bureau to let them know what kind of business Choice Hotels it's turning out to be and the person I talk to at the Better Business Bureau had informed me that there had already been three other complaints about the same issue with Choice Hotels and them not honoring promotions. Like I said Comfort Inn I-10 West is a wonderful Hotel it's just a shame that they ra choice hotels brand. If you do decide to stay at Comfort Inn on I-10 West or any other choice hotel don't listen to them when they try to get you to sign up for their membership because it's nothing but lies the only thing they do give you...
Read moreWe stayed there because I am a loyal Choice Hotel member. What a mistake.||||The lobby was filthy and the staff working was completely overwhelmed. We got checked in and our room was dirty, had no toilet paper, no hand towels, no face towels and stained sheets (the bed was made). I was able to get towels. I was made to enter the industrial laundry room and fold them myself as the employee handed them to me from the dryer. That room was an OSHA disaster. We were told the hotel was out of toilet paper. I went back and checked with my better half. She went down and arranged to have us move to a better and guaranteed clean room. We entered that room and it was dirtier. It had not been seen my housekeeping. We took a roll of toilet paper from the bathroom and I went back downstairs. There I was told I could stay in our original room but the sheets would get changed. What I was not told was that I would be the one changing the sheets! Yes, the employee handed me a set of sheets and my wife and I changed our sheets. ||||A few other things to note:||||The elevator is littered with graffiti||The Choice hotels promotions on display at the front desk were from April, this took place in October.||Both rooms we entered were cooled to 65 degrees with fans on high upon our arrival. We had to turn the heat on in October to get our room to a tolerable temperature. This is how much this hotel cares about the environment.||Throughout the evening hours, the hallway was busy with people seemingly wandering around in a stupor looking for something or someone. I won't guess on this public forum what might have influenced this behavior, but suffice it to say, nobody at the hotel cared.||Nobody at the hotel seemed to care about the vehicles parading in front of the hotel and parking lot with hip-hop pumping out of their speakers.||||I tried to find the manager in the morning, but they were not available. We were in a hurry, so I decided to deal with this when I got home.||||Since arriving home a month ago, I have placed six calls to Choice Hotels feedback department and received one. Total time spent on the phone is 2 hours and 25 minutes. They have called the hotel on my behalf six times and they have never been able to talk to a manger or ascertain when or where the manager is. They did connect me with a front desk person who promised me a full refund would be processed that evening by the night auditor. That did not happen. Choice hotels has consistently offered me 10,000 points (value $31.25). I have repeatedly said I would accept nothing but a 100% refund. Only the GM of the hotel seems to have the God like power to do this and since they are NEVER there, I am turning it over to my credit card company to deal with. I am done with agents and supervisors.||||The bottom line appears to be that nobody at Choice cares about this horrible experience at a property that does not deserve to...
