As an OTR truck driver with company truck in the nearby dealer shop. I read the other reviews, here is mine.
Its a dated motel, they were remodeling several rooms on each floor at the time I stayed, didn't have any issues with construction noise during daytime.
They have a shuttle that will take you to the dealer shop and nearby if you need it. Shuttle driver treated me nice.
The room was average and older. Checked the sheets and elsewhere for bed bugs etc due to reviews, didn't find anything and didn't get bit...lol
They come and ask you what you need for room service, its average. Very cheap on giving you extra towel, also I got a face rag that had dirt spots on it. I washed it myself!! 1st time anywhere across the country I got/did that.
Ice machine doesn't work on 3rd floor where I stayed, didn't mind but had to go to 2nd floor ice machine. I investigated further and its been out of service a long while. They have laundry facilities, near the ice machine, I didn't use but took a look at and price was fair for washing machines.
Forget the breakfast, its basically a low profile stand with a pastry or two, and some limited fruit. Glad I bring my own stash of food, I had more in my stash then they did, but that's just me, I come prepared, I'm cheap and I wont spend money at a restaurants, plus I like fixing my own food I know what I'm getting.
They have fridge & microwave in rooms.Mine had no fridge, but the maintenance guy came up and installed one within a 1/2 hour upon checking in. Also there is a big problem with your room door card keys here at this place, the maintenance guy did come up after the lady at the motel re-swiped the card, took me 3 trips and they finally said the maintenance guy would have to fix, so I had my stuff moved into the room, but hell couldn't get in my room after the door closed!! After he repaired, said the best he could get it repaired was to swipe the card 3 times...lol..I said okay least I can get in and out, they need to replace these old door key locks!
Internet connectivity is fair, scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 5. Goes good at times then signal drops.
The area here is NOT safe at night in fact they do what high crime areas do and shutdown the main lobby entry from like 9PM to 6AM, you have to use night door window entry. I just didn't go out at night...lol..Again beware of this entire neighborhood at night!!
Their desk reservation communication with my company and me I found lacked big-time, no notice they just take your room from you without even asking you(so if you drive make sure your room isn't pulled from you and the place booked, what an area!!!), my company found me a better motel which Im in right now and I like it much better, and its a whole lot cleaner and the people are very friendly, rooms cleaner etc. Keep in mind we don't find out many times from the truck dealer shop till the day they will finish the truck. The motel my company moved me to is very accommodating in that regard, so that is in my opinion a screwed up motel desk. If they need 24 hrs notice at least communicate it.
Showers could use some 409 or like cleaner and a scrub brush and they need to scrub till its white not dirty white. The shower water pressure is good though. (May want to bring your own cleaning supplies..lol)
If you drive a truck and your truck isn't in the shop like mine was, then they do have a really good truck parking area for semi trucks/trailers. Google Map it and you will see.
TV is smaller flat screen with average channel selections, I don't watch a lot of TV so to me was fine. The swimming pool is descent and seems they keep it up good, was right below my balcony.
The mattress was old, in so much that had little support and you could feel the springs right up near the surface...lol..I put an extra covering between them so could sleep better.
Well hope this helps, I actually wrote down my experience at this place as it unfolded-so your getting this as experienced, just beware of the above, and the...
Read moreWhere do I start. Staff are extremely rude, socialise during their work hours and running around and laughing, leaving the reception and lobby empty of any staff with visitors’ personal belongings left out in the open for anyone to take. ||During night hours and use of the night window, staff were clearly smoking their shift away and vaping with loud music and laughing amongst each other, instead of dealing first with the long line of customers needing to speak with staff and queuing out of the door! We were clearly not the only residents with extensive problems during our stay based off this. ||We requested a late check out from 11am to 12pm for our departure on 19th Feb, which was agreed to. The receptionist then called our room at 11:52 with a clear attitude, stating that we have to leave the room as check out is due. The staff here clearly do not priorize their customer service and cleanliness of rooms and prefer to take a unprofessional and confrontational attitude towards their customers, which is very uncomfortable to experience. ||Myself and my friend were visiting and asked on arrival For our suitcases to be held in storage on our check out day, while awaiting a later flight. The staff agreed with this, however on check out day a rude woman at reception decided to self impose her own rules, stating that they can only keep suitcases up until 3pm and not in any secure room due to the lobby being closed at 3pm- simply being left by the reception desk. They also do not provide tickets as a receipt of leaving your suitcases with them, which is not something I have ever experienced. Additionally, please see attached images for the clear statement that the lobby opening hours are throughout the day and do not stop at 3pm, and of the empty lobby with no staff as they choose to loiter around instead with their headphones in! The staff here clearly decide to make up their own rules how they see fit, lacking acknowledgement of customers and using their workspace as a playground. ||In addition, the wifi does not work and we got a room with one queen bed after reserving a room with two queen beds. ||No amenities available in the bedroom. The floors were filthy to the point of the bottom of your feet being black if you walked around with no footwear. The bathroom was also extremely dirty and stained. The towels provided in the room are as...
Read moreThis place needs to be shut down, demolished and turned into a parking lot because its vile. The customer service is probably the worst I've ever experienced - they don't reply to you when you do try to confront them and very obviously comment in spanish about you.
I got charged more than I got told I would be quoted by Expedia, the floor in the room was filthy - to the point your feet would be black with filth straight after showering. The bathtub was disgusting, with rusted racks for towels and your clothes. The wifi was rubbish or didn't work at all unless you were sat in the lobby with no amenities no breakfast nothing.
On our first day we already had issues with the shower and the cards for the door. This seems to be a recurring issue for everyone as there was a line going out the door of the night window with staff too busy smoking and vaping to notice the long line of customers.
We asked for a late check out and were given an hour, but approximately 8 mins before our check out was due we receive a rude phone call from Alianna the manager (God knows how she became a manager with that attitude) telling us to leave immediately as we need to leave the room now. I've asked for a late check out in many places before and never received such a rude phone call.
When checking out at 12pm, we asked if we could keep our luggage at the inn until our flight much later in the day, Alianna stated she could only keep it until 3pm because thats when the lobby closes which was completely made up as there's signs at the lobby saying it closes at 6pm. However, this then ruined our last day as it meant we couldn't go anywhere in phoenix for a few hours because we had to be back at the inn to collect our luggage.
So we decided to sit in the lobby after eating lunch nearby and wait to take our luggage. We then sat there and still past 3pm the lobby was open, we then asked the receptionist why Alianna stated the lobby would be closed at 3pm when it had now gone 4pm and there was no sign of it being closed she nervously replied "I don't know" and then called Alianna in Spanish. We then questioned Alianna and she stated she couldnt keep our luggage until 4:30pm - the time we originally wanted. She stated it is because they can't take liability, when we asked her why she lied and said the lobby would be closed she walked...
