prepare for a long post.
First of all, the atmosphere is amazing. It is an old gas station that was converted into a shop, they still have the old pumps next to the drive thru window! Inside the walls are decorated with local art, they sell it too! So extra points for supporting their community. The lighting is easy on the eyes, and there was plenty of seating available without a crowded feel. The outdoor seating was awesome because not only did it feature local art like a table made of bottles and a fountain, but also lots of plants adding a less urban feel. The big bonus was the misting fans, in 117 degree weather it allowed My dog and I relief while I enjoyed my latte.
Next the staff, which seriously offered the best customer service Iv’e had thus far. All of the employees were friendly and engaging, and offered plenty of suggestions. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this staff, they are simply amazing. As for my drink I actually ended up getting two since My pup could hang around without getting too hot. First I tried a plain iced lavender latte. ( I forgot to ask for almond milk because i was enjoying talking to the staff so much!) They make their Lavender syrup in house with local fresh lavender too! It was so good I went in for another. But this time I was going to try the house special, mocha lavender. My barista suggested to get the white mocha in it instead. White mochas are usually too sweet for me, but this latte was sooo good. Still a little on the sweet side for me, but I still enjoyed it immensely. I’ll be stopping by the drive thru on the way out to L.A and trying an almond milk latte. THANK YOU COPPER STAR FOR THE...

I wasn't able to go inside, but will have to check that out sometime soon. Isabel helped me in the drive thru. She was the most incredible ray of sunshine. Like seriously. You could tell she had a long ass day and was totally exhausted (from what I understand, Saturday mornings are insane here!) But she didn't let that dull her shine at all. I was lucky enough to roll through during an afternoon lull and got to chat it up with her a bit and she is just absolutely delightful!
ANYway. I got a lavender mocha, which was lush. And a rosemary asiago bagel with cream cheese. And a m&m cookie. You guys. That rosemary bagel. Chef's kiss. It is perfection. And I am picky, so take that for whatever it is worth.
Let's just say that bagel was so good that I had to turn around and go get another one while I was so close... and snagged a couple others I haven't tried yet too.
This is pretty far from where I live, but I'm going to have to make it a point to find reasons to come over this way occasionally. It really is THAT good. Besides, they were out of scones and I NEED to try those!
As for the cookie, meh shrugs. It was "okay". Really fresh and all that, but nothing really amazing about it. Which is okay! We don't all like the same kinds of things. I'm still giving 5 stars all around, because this place is fantastic. Can hardly wait to come back and actually go inside and experience it from that angle.
If you're thinking about going here, you totally should. And get...
Read moreI hesitated to order at first because of the environment - their fan is filthy (I do not use that word lightly) and caked in dust (a metal floor fan directed at the coffee prep area), one of the pastry cases was left ajar and a fly was just hanging out inside (hovering around the inner base where LOTS of old crumbs were trapped between the glass and the metal bottom of the display area), the stainless steel fridge had a visible layer of grime where hands commonly open it, etc. I figured they had a good rating - so maybe it had just been a wild day. I ordered pastries (no coffee) and left - only to get home and see that the individual that served us had applied a $2 tip. They had announced the total, never mentioned gratuity being included, never asked if I wanted to leave a tip - just completed the transaction. I don’t care about the tip, I have no desire to dispute it - it just bothers me that they didn’t say anything to me. I think I have become too accustomed to pressing/selecting a percentage - maybe I missed a sign. The pastries themselves were okay - the blueberry crumble lacks tartness and so the overall product is just overwhelmingly sweet. The taste is good, but the missing complexity makes it tiring to finish. I might return to give it a second try - especially since it is inclusive and the food menu looks promising. Hopefully the second time is the charm.
TLDR: Needs some deep cleaning. Charged a tip without mentioning anything. Pastry had good flavor but was...
