I’ll start off by saying that I absolutely love to concept of Title 9 and want to see it thrive. This review will provide the business with some honest feedback that I hope they find helpful.
Food: To me, the quality of their food is the biggest area of concern. The portion sizes were on the smaller side and the food itself wasn’t impressive. I ordered a smash burger and my partner ordered a chicken sandwich; both were underwhelming. The buns used for both meals were flaky and dry. The chicken on the chicken sandwich was quite basic and overcooked. The burger patty was cooked fine, but it lacked seasoning and flavor. We did order a side of waffle fries, which we had no complaints on. From my perspective, the price for the quality and portion sizes of the food don’t add up. I’ll probably stick to snacking on an appetizer or skip the food in general next time.
Drinks: I ordered a specialty cocktail that was named after Diana Taurasi. The drink itself was fine, but it tasted more like juice than a cocktail. I guess some people might prefer not tasting the alcohol though. In any case, I didn’t think the quality matched the price. That’s not necessarily a Title 9 problem, I think that’s more of an industry problem. The price of cocktails have become overpriced all over. I switched to beer for my second drink. The glass was chilled and the beer was cold. No complaints.
Service: The bartender was welcoming and kind. You could tell she was doing her best to be attentive, but she was working the whole bar (all seats filled but one or two) and restaurant by herself. The service was slow, but I don’t necessarily blame the bartender, I blame the business for being understaffed on a Friday night.
Atmosphere: I really enjoy the concept of Title 9. It’s a well needed establishment for the community in Phoenix. The environment felt welcoming upon arrival. It doesn’t have the typical feel of a traditional sports bar, which I appreciate. The decor is fun and highlights women athletes, which I also appreciate. As advertised, this is a sports bar dedicated to women’s sports. All TVs were in use & showing two different WNBA games. Once the games were over, they turned on the Diana Taurasi documentary, staying true to their dedication of honoring and highlighting...

I’ll pay a higher than usual price for good food if the quality portions are there. The quality of the food and how it compares to pricing needs to be seriously evaluated.
I don’t know if the “full service” restaurant method was just for opening weekend. But with the quality & portion of food, this place should maintain an operating as a bar. Open seating, have people walk up to order and maybe take a number so that a food runner can deliver where they sit.
Atmosphere was exciting for opening day but oh my god this group was so loud our friends couldn’t hear each other talking outside. Which isn’t a title 9 thing, definitely a courtesy thing, but it wasn’t giving full service restaurant energy.
Please please change the quality & portion of the food because again I want to come here...
Read moreI absolutely LOVED my experience at Title 9! I was so excited to finally make my way over here and had amazing food and drinks and a great time with my friends! My only issue is that there are a number of menu items that are labeled as gluten free, however they are fried in the same fryer as items with gluten so the cross contamination makes them unsafe to eat for someone with celiac! My server was absolutely amazing and so kind with recommendations— even going to the kitchen to make sure that the peppers were cooked in a clean container, but I was disappointed to not be able to eat fries and wings with the rest of my friends. I will be back for sure but just wanted to post that warning for anyone with celiac! My salad was...
