My local Pizza Hut store at 4708 S 48th St, Phoenix, AZ 85040 has made my lifelong love of Pizza Hut go away forever. As a kid, my fondest memories are of my Dad, sister, and me eating at a Pizza Hut--it was a Friday night ritual for us for YEARS. We ate at the same table, with the same waitress, and ate a Super Supreme Pan Pizza with a pitcher of Pepsi every week. We all really enjoyed that outing. I even worked for a Pizza Hut as a waitress a number of years ago. I used to love the food, and I cherished the memories. Not anymore. The Pizza Hut I mentioned above is the store that delivers in my area, and I have lived here for 5 years. I have had several sub-par orders from them over the last few years, but I always gave them another chance. I don't know if the quality has gone down in the whole chain, or if this store is just a blight on the face of Pizza Hut, but ALL of Pizza Hut has now lost me forever as a customer, and I will complain about them now to anyone who will listen, because I am ANGRY. And why? Because not only did I get YET ANOTHER bad order of food, but the customer service debacle afterwards is as follows: I called to complain about the food quality, and they offered to give me a credit on my account, so I took it. They warned me it would expire in 30 days, and I understood that. Now keep in mind, this was a really large order and I spent almost $50 on it. The manager said he was going to give me $45 in credit, which I thought was nice of him, so I was mollified and decided--ok--another chance for them, I guess. So the next week I called to use some of my credit. I was told I had $40 (not the $45 I was told I would get)--so I was annoyed but was like "whatever" and I placed a small order for pick-up that we got for free. So, so far, everything is okay. The problem comes now-- the following week I call to place another small order for pick-up to try and whittle down my credit before the 30 days runs out, only to be told that "oh sorry--any credit has to be used all at once". Excuse me? So I spent around maybe $15 of a $40 credit and the rest is just ERASED?? And no one--not the manager that gave me the credit, nor the person placing the small order mentions this to me?? That is HORRIBLE customer service guys. Horrible. OF COURSE losing money you gave someone to use will piss them off!! So I get a manager on the phone and he tells me there is no way to go back and see credit that was previously on the account. (Which is either a LIE or is a reallllly stupid record keeping system.) He offers me a measly 20% discount on the order I want to place today (when I was going to be getting it for free, mind you). Would you pay 80% of something you had been told you'd get for free? No? Me either. So now, I don't ever have to worry about the food being crappy ever again from a Pizza Hut, because I will NEVER spend my money there again, and neither will my roommate, and I HOPE anyone who reads this review (that I am going to post on Yelp and Google and Facebook and anywhere else I can) will at least think twice about spending money with a company that pretends to give you credit for disappointing you but then just erases it without telling you you should have spent it all. And besides, the food quality is so pathetic at this store, I am guessing it is a chain wide problem and you folks should be shopping elsewhere for better food, anyway. What happened to you Pizza Hut? You were the greatest back in the day. Good luck keeping your market share up when you don't seem to care about your food tasting good, or the value of the food for the money spent, or of taking care of an unhappy customer. Goodbye forever. You'll only be seeing me on places where I can give you this review from now on. I will never step foot in another store or spend my money with...
Read moreI just ate the worst pizza I have had in a long time. The only reason I ate it? I paid 20 bucks for it and was extremely starving at that point and could of literally eaten anything. I was very tempted to simply toss it in the trash and physically drive over to Barros off of baseline and order a pizza. I probably will do that tonight and toss out the 1/2 that is remaining.
Regardless, to point out their issue, it took over 1 hour to deliver, at 11am. That's not to say that they can't be busy in prep for lunch time, however, I've worked in pizza places all over the place when I was in my late teens and early 20's and lunch deliveries / times were usually not that busy. Back to the pizza, it was practically cold. The pizza itself was stiff with hardly any cheeze on it whatsoever. I had to nuke it up which I see as a literal sin against nature in order to make it taste better.
This issue is not anything new. I haven't ordered from them in the past 2 years because this same crap happened back then. I wait a year or so thinking that somehow management has changed or something and I give them another shot and they fail me yet again. This has gone on for the past 6 years of me living at my current residence.
This time I will not give them a year, I'm simply not going to order from any pizza hut as long as I can. Apparently, the company desires to not maintain any form of quality control on their franchisee's. Big win for Domino's and Papa Johns!.... or in reality Barro's which beats all of them in all categories.
As far as those who have rated this a good store, keep in mind that it is very easy for the manager to have friends who bump up the ratings and mitigate actual complaints. Avoid if you can. Or at least, don't...
Read morePIZZA BUFFET REVIEW. DO NOT TRY HERE. At the end it was almost $30 for two people, and not worth it. Drinks are not included. No consistancy and pizza sucked hardcore, tasted like typical chinese buffet pizza. Three whole trays were sitting empty the whole time and the pasta they did have out was sitting there sadly with only a few noodles in it, which they only filled when we were leaving, and looked sad. Sad white sauce pasta. Little "breadsticks" which were very hard and flavorless, along with little cinnamon sticks which tasted okay but tbf how can you mess that one up. Pizzas were lacking diversity and just plain bad. Two thin crust pepperoni and jalapeno pizzas with about three-four slices each, another pepperoni jalapeno pizza but regular crust, another regular pizza with pineapple and pepperoni, and that's about it until at the very end they finally bring out a "fresh" pizza, honestly insulting to the word fresh, which was a more puffy crust with sausage, pepperoni and onion. And that's it for the whole buffet, which we been dying to try and took the last our last money. Yaaay. Whomever is cooking pizzas there right now, does NOT know how to cook pizza. And now we both have a stomach ache. I didn't take pictures bc I had a little social anxiety at that moment but please take my word for it and don't ear here, unless you like that...
