El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Phoenix

I have been to many Pollo Loco locations in about 4 states. I will say that this location is the worst one I’ve ever been to in my life. No exaggeration, I pull up to the drive thru and the girl has major attitude and and unwelcome energy. I did absolutely nothing wrong besides pull up at a decent 7:30pm time with a friendly demeanor. I order the new Birria tacos and a burrito bowl.

When I get to the window the girl comes to get my card with her bad attitude. I really wanted to just drive off but I didn’t want the food to go to waste so I stayed to get my food. When I look in the bag, I’m missing the consomé that comes with the birria tacos. I wait at the window and the girl never comes back. I proceed around the corner to park and walk inside to get my missing consomé. Another girl gives a bad attitude, no sorry, or no thank you. It was really uncomfortable feeling in that whole place, the vibe was really bad.

Anyway I get to my hotel room and I’m missing a fork to eat my bowl so that’s what motivated me to write this review. This place needs a major training day or just fire everyone and start over. I’m literally eating my bowl with...

“Was in line for around 45 minutes. There were only 2 cars ahead of me! Understaffed and made me late back to work. This was also my first time ever going to El Pollo Loco. Safe to say I will not be eating here ever again. Terrible experience”

It actually turned into a great experience. There was a new cashier/employee at the drive thru window. His name was Miguel. Miguel just gained my business moving forward. He was a thousand times more professional and positive than the girl that was there last time I went. I will be going again soon and I hope the experience is like this one. Miguel deserves a raise for the way he handled the whole thing. I asked to switch out cabbage for lettuce, and he did it no questions (the lady employee my first time here got my order wrong while also making the experience terrible) and was enthusiastic the whole time.

On a side note, the food is delicious. If they can continue this experience, I will be going here 5 days out of the week since I just moved down the street. The jumbo shrimp taco...

They were rude and made our meals with hardly any chicken. My chicken bowl was not even full. ( I'm still hungry) When asked for more chicken, they said that is 4oz and would have to charge. The chicken they gave was scraps at the bottom but when they made other people's food they had the right amount and size pieces of chicken. They also laughed at my husband when he asked to remake his food because it wasn't right. My husband asked other customers if there was any chicken in his burrito, they said no. The chicken nachos had barely any chicken. The manager remade that and showed me 4oz of chicken and I told the manger that was not 4oz of chicken. That was still scrapps at the bottom of the pan. They also were charging for cilantro dressing. The place is dirty on top of that. The service was horrible and they seemed to be racists since they made our meals with hardly any chicken and made other peoples meals right with the right amount of chicken. I wouldn't even give them 1 star. NEGATIVE 5 STARS YES!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE $5 MENU?? PAID FULL PRICE FOR...
