I was heading home after work and asked my husband what he wanted for dinner? He said a Cheesburger. I said ok call Five Guys and put in the order and I'll grab it on my way. That was at 605. I arrived at 614, went to pay and was a bit taken back. The guy read me what the order was for and that's when I thought something doesn't sound right. But I paid anyway. Then he says we are waiting on the frise. I said can I get my shake and can you please put whip cream on it. (the order said shake with NO WHIP) My husband knows me better than that and would never say no whip. Just saying. I waited for almost 15 min. for these fries to be ready. There were 2 other people in the place already eating, don't think they delayed anything. I watched the 3 guys behind the counter play around for that 15 min. No fries went in or out. I see the guy finally scoop up the cup of fries and a few extra into the bag. He calls my name and says here is your order. Once in the car I grab a fry and had to roll the window down to spit it out. I will say I do not really like their fries so I thought it could just be me. They where wilty and soaked with oil. I get home and give my husband the bag. I take my burger, he takes his. His had no cheese on it. I said I thought you wanted a cheese burger? He said I did and that's what I ordered. Oh well. We both took one bite and that was it. It was soggy and just not what we go to Five Guys for. These burgers were gross. I ever turned on a brighter light to see if it was even cooked. That's what it tasted like was raw meat. My husband ate a few fries and said yuck throw these out! I put it all in the bag and was going to take it back but... I am a paramedic and had just got home from a long crazy shift ... I threw it all out to get that smell out of the house. But Im still fuming. $35 later. But the Milk...
Read moreOk, walked in, found 1 customer at a table and not one employee to be found. Eventually had someone take our order. Asked for well done fries and was advised by cashier that they will ONLY cook them as usual. Sat down and waited at a table that my sister has to wipe down. When we got our order, 2 of the burgers had no bacon, 1 had no a1 sauce as ordered. Was offered to remake them but I like to eat my burger with hot fries and at the same time as the rest of our party. I did not want to wait another 10 mins for another so they handed my brother in law a handful of black, over cooked bacon for us to share. Next thing I notice was that every employee was once again absent from the kitchen. Not once did any one make any attempt to do any table cleaning whatsoever. Then a customer walks in to pick up his order and this is when they decided to start his order??. I see why there were only a couple of people eating here. I have been enjoying 5 guys since the very first store was opened in Virginia many years ago. I have been to 5 guys 2 times in the 11 years I have live here in Az and both times have been a complete let down. A serious lack of franchise commitment and management. Maybe some day corporate will get involved and force the same standards they had 25 years ago. Its really not that hard to run a successful franchise but places like this will take 5 guys down the drain just like Red Robin. For $60, I demand better....
Read moreI had had a craving for a McDonalds burger for a couple days but as I was driving back home from my medical appointment I remembered Five Guys was going to be coming to my town soon, so I thought to myself let's find a Five Guys! I hadn't been in probably a couple ofyears. I had the 'normal' cheeseburger, which is a double. If you want a smaller burger, getvthe 'Little' which is a single. I had mine with ketchup, mayo and grilled onions. I also got the small French fries, which is more generous than a large fry everywhere else. They fill up a little cup of fries and then they dump another scoop in your bag. I got a regular sized fountain drink to round out my order. They haven't he CocaCola Freestyle machines so you can customize your drinks. I got OG CocaCola. The burger was just about perfectly cooked. They aren't as heavily seasoned as Mickey D's and could probably use a bit more, but it was fresh meat and freshly cooked. Tasty and Delicious! The fries were well seasoned and thicker than the Golden Arches, perfect with a good gob of ketchup. The ice cold Coke rounded it out to a perfect lunch that totally satisfied my craving. It wasn't very crowded and it didn't take too long to order or get served. The AirCon made it a little coolish for me, but that would be my only complaint. Excellent job to all! I look forward to Five Guys coming to...
