WOW, what an absolute hidden gem. This place blew us away, we were disappointed initially when we arrived and saw it was a counter-service restaurant, but the younger guy working the front was super helpful and friendly.

Ordered a few dishes that sounded good (with his help) and a few Korean classics we knew we liked. My wife and I eat a TON of Korean food, so we've had everything from good, to bad, to great, and Gogi is great. Their tofu soup, the soon tofu is maybe my favorite I've ever had, I just wish it was spicy, even if just a bit.

We also ordered Tteokbokki, spicy pork belly, and the sweet and spicy wings, and about 3/4 of the way through our meal we thought about it and said "Not one thing has just been 'okay' or mediocre. Literally all four dishes are delicious." The teokbokki is perfect, just the right level of spiciness and comes with a hard boiled egg. The sweet and spicy wings were crunchy and slathered in sauce on the outside, but hot, tender, and juicy inside. All four dishes came out PIPING hot, which is the best way to eat soon tofu and wings especially. Be forewarned, however, I tried ONE dab of the extra spicy wings and they are brutal, and I can occasionally stomach the 2X Hot Bul Dak ramen.

All told, everything you see in the picture together was about $52.

It's almost a bummer that this hidden gem is just sitting in a shopping plaza outside of a theatre with a million other restaurants around. I wish there were something this good in the West Valley; we'd be there every week. No complaints at all, highly...

we came here right after shopping at spirit Halloween store. we saw the menu outside, and we found our choices instantly. when we walked in, it was very quiet, modern and clean. the gentleman behind counter welcomed us in, said hello. we ordered our food, and sat down at a table. we got our drinks, and they have a really good selection of sodas. in a few mins, about 10 mins, all of our food came. the food was super DELICIOUS and HOT! the portion sizes that we recieved were enough to feed 2 people! i however finished mine. 😋

pictured below are the dishes we ordered.

  1. spicy seafood udon noodles
  2. chicken friend rice with egg
  3. hot stone bibimbap with bulgogi ( this comes out in a sizzling hot stone and will be very hot for a loooong time! the food inside this bowl, you will need to stir it together. 10/10 would recommend. if your hungry this will fill you up. feeds 2 people)

not pictured: 6 piece original Korean friend chicken and 6 piece spicy Korean friend chicken. SO SO GOOOD!!! a little pricey but the food is definetly worth it! 10/10 would recommend and I will be back for more amazing...

A Culinary Delight at Gogi and Asian Cuisine!

I recently dined at Gogi and Asian Cuisine and was treated to an exceptional culinary experience. The highlight of my meal was the Pork Katsu, and it truly exceeded my expectations.

The pork cutlet was perfectly breaded and fried to a golden crisp, while the meat inside remained tender and flavorful. The accompanying sauce added a delightful balance of sweet and savory notes, enhancing the overall taste of the dish.

The ambiance of the restaurant was welcoming, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. The menu offered a diverse selection of Asian cuisine, promising something for every palate.

If you're a fan of asian cuisine or simply appreciate a well-executed pork katsu, Gogi and Asian Cuisine is a must-visit. I left with a satisfied palate and a desire to return for more...

🇰🇷🥩 If you’re ever in the Ahwatukee area and craving Korean food, Gogi is a must. It’s a casual counter-service spot right next to the movie theater (perfect for an easy lunch, dinner, or quick takeout run). Their hot stone bibimbap is a must-try. The rice gets perfectly crispy on the bottom, and you can pick your protein (I love it with beef bulgogi or spicy pork). The portion is huge, so it’s great for sharing or saving leftovers. Also, don’t skip the Korean fried chicken! The sweet & spicy sauce is my favorite, but they’ve got other flavors like honey garlic too. It’s locally owned by the sweetest mom-and-pop duo, and you can really taste the love in everything they make. Thank you to the owners for having me in. Highly recommend if you’re craving homestyle Korean food in phoenix. Gogi & Asian Cuisine 📍4905 E Ray Rd suite 102, Phoenix, AZ 85044
