I must confess I am not a premier proponent of fast food, but who can deny the convenience of it all. You, my readers probably don't care but I'm a pescatarian, so my primary staple is seafood. When I saw the deal that Jack in the box offer the Alaskan cod fish combo for $4. I was mildly surprised. Now, I'm no super fan of fast food but I know value when I see it! Normally, a fish sandwich from a fast food place run you about $4 for the sandwich alone but here Jack in the box is offering the entire meal (medium) from my experience for that price. Now, before I get into the aesthetics or the ambience about the place let me just say that, after I ate my fish sandwich combo I got a feeling of nausea. I did not want to attribute this cause two Jack in the box initially but after Jetta my grandmother(in law) said she had the same nauseated feeling in her stomach after eating the Alaskan fish combo, I was convinced, that it was the food. What I don't like about this Jack in the box and perhaps by no fault of their own but outside right over the brick wall which is about waist-high there's a dope fiends have at the bus stop; I mean the hardcore stuff like methamphetamines and heroin users.
Just last week in the same parking lot where this Jack in the box resides there is a Fry's groceries and someone broke into my car in this parking lot. My tablet was taken, stole my leather briefcase containing four years of seminary notes very valuable to me. In my overall opinion if you are a person who value your personal belongings stay away from this Jack In The box and this entire complex were Fry's is because very often I hear that someone car has been broken into. I think the owners of this platform should be more proactive in preventing customers from being robbed while coming to spend money at market. Now, don't get me wrong there is a security guard who patrols the premises by driving around in a white SUV but feel free to not consider your person protected or the protection of your belongings to be safe here in his custody. For the employees and the security inside Fry's tell me that he (the mobile security guard) doesn't protect anything but he drives around and tries to court women all day stay away...
Read moreI got in line for the drive through at 2:40 AM. Itâs now 3:25 and I am still in line. 4 cars have made it through the drive through in the entire time Iâve been here. FOUR! Literally averaging 10 minutes per customer. This is the worst service Iâve ever received at a âfastâ food restaurant in my life and itâs not close. I understand that everyone is understaffed right now, but this is completely unacceptable. If this is the best you can do, you shouldnât be open at all. At least then I wouldnât have spent an hour of my life trapped in a line waiting for what will probably turn out to be lukewarm food.
Update (3:40 AM): IâM STILL HERE! So excited to celebrate my 1 hour anniversary of being in this drive through line đđđ
And yes, somehow, impossibly, there are STILL CARS IN FRONT OF ME IN LINE
Update (3:54 AM): Only one car remains in front of me in line. I can almost smell the sweet freedom that awaits me on the other side of this. What will I do after all this time? Will I be able to readjust to society? Will I end up like Brooks in Shawshank Redemption, dead by my own hand because at this point all I know is life on the inside of this drive through line? Only time will tell.
Update (4:07 AM): DOBBY IS A FREE ELF
In all seriousness though, got up to the window and itâs clearly just one dude working by himself. Completely irresponsible of ownership to put him in that position. If you donât have enough staff, your restaurant shouldnât be open! Man all I wanted was a quick, decent backup choice when McDonaldâs...
Read moreI am super disappointed! I would write to tell them about the experience but they didnât even give us a receipt ( I guess to cover them self). I tried to call but no one answered! And we were already home and live a good 15-20 minutes away otherwise we would have gone back. We went through the drive because the dining area was closed because it was like 11:30pm- ish. We ordered a munchie meal and 2 extra tacos. We waited for a total of 15 minutes including the cars in front of us and then they parked us for another 6 minutes and finally brought our food. I didnât think to check it because she gave us the munchie meal box and a smaller bag that we thought the extra tacos were in. When we got home my husband opened the bag to eat his dinner and there was only condiments. They gave us the munchie meal box which was open and an entire bag of condiments. It took so long to get through the line and we didnât even get all of our food! I would love for them to reach out to me to see what happened. I personally love the food there and normally we donât have issues. Just lately itâs been late at night. I donât know what gives but perhaps they need to add a person on that night shift...
