Best Tacos in South Mountain! We’ve got a lot of Mexican, Mexican-style, Mexican wannabes and Mexican supposed taco establishments in the area, but finally, finally a real taqueria that means business! Offers the business… and you can taste the business. They know tacos! Mexico City style tacos! This recently opened eatery, a sibling to one further north in Phoenix is a great addition to the neighborhood that brings quality to the neighborhood. They specialize in the traditional suadero, campechano and al pastor culinary legacies found in Mexico City. But it also offers a variety of not only styles, but you can immediately taste and smell their use of mesquite! Their selections are abundant, as not only fab tacos, but an array of delectables which include Pork, Chicken, Beef, Shrimp, Queso, Cabeza, Tripa and more. Oh, their menu also includes Quesadillas, Machetes, Huaraches, Tortas and Burritos. Not to mention some pretty decent rice, beans and guac. What’s also nice is that you have access to a condiment bar with various delicious salsas and other goodies. We sat down and enjoyed a terrific pair of Queso tacos, Cabeza, Birria and al Pastor… along with rice and beans and a Mandarin Jarrito – it became a fab meal. A South Mountain Local welcomes Tacos Chilango and praises their cuisine and dedication to their heritage full of flavor. Highly recommended....

We were driving around looking for a good place to eat some tacos. We picked a great place. I ordered 2 queso tacos with shrimp and a quesadilla. My hubby ordered a torta with carne asada. My tacos were amazing! The cheese was sooo tasty and they loaded that taco with shrimp. It was garnished with red cabbage and a mayo sauce that complimented it so well. My qesadilla was just with cheese but I used all 3 of their delicious salsas! I couldn't pick which was my favorite, they all had such a different flavor and they all went well with my tacos and quesadilla. My hubby really enjoyed his torta of carne asada. He says that Chipotle mayo was a game changer. The torta was a good size and ut was portioned out perfectly with the carne asada and the veggies. He couldn't put the torta down lol. I was looking for tacos, it's my favorite food and when I found these on Google I decided to place my order by phone, to start with the girl who took my call was very friendly and from there she gave me a good signal to arrive with confidence, when I arrived my order was already ready and the best thing, when I got home wow!! delicious and very well served, they put a lot of meat on them, the only thing I can say that I didn't like much was the red salsa but that's the least of it, only that I do recommend that you improve it or change it but everything was excellent, since it's my favorite food, I will be there very often and the best thing, they are one stoplight from my house, thanks for putting a location south of...
