Customer Feedback – Panda Express (Happy Valley Rd. Location, 2501 W Happy Valley Rd #50-1290, Phoenix, AZ 85085)
During my recent visit to this Panda Express location, I had an unfortunate experience that left me and my family uncomfortable and disappointed.
When we entered the restaurant and placed our order, the process initially seemed normal. However, while the food was being prepared, we noticed unusual and unprofessional behavior from some—not all—of the staff. Certain employees were exchanging odd glances and making verbal remarks that created an uneasy atmosphere.
When our order was ready, the cashier appeared hesitant to hand us the food until she seemed to seek approval, through body language, from another staff member who was observing. This individual then gave what appeared to be a “signal” or permission for her to proceed. Once the transaction was complete, both employees returned to their normal duties as though nothing had happened.
This behavior was extremely unsettling. It gave us the impression that we were being judged or monitored for reasons that were unclear, despite the fact that we did nothing wrong. Such conduct not only appeared unprofessional but also directly impacted our dining experience. Instead of enjoying our meal, we felt uncomfortable and distracted by the behavior of the staff.
Because of this, our evening was unfortunately ruined. These types of unprofessional and inappropriate actions are unacceptable in a customer service environment. As a result, we have decided that we will not return to this location.

Read more10/26/16 @ 3:10pm PST I went to Panda Express in Phoenix, AZ for my husband and I fir dinner. The plate they put your food in was small compared to the plate from a previous Panda Express facility I went to in California where they weren't shy to give you generous portions for the price you pay which was a bit cheaper than this one. I ordered 1 plate (consists of 1 side and 2 entrées) and 1 bigger plate (consists of 1 side and 3 entrées). The person that was spooning out the food was trying her hardest to NOT put big pieces onto my plate. At one point, she even moved a couple of big pieces out of the way. Another thing that bothered me was that there wasn't an even ratio of meat to vegetables. There was more vegetables than meat in all the dishes that they prepared. Upon checkout, I asked the employee for some hot mustard and hot oil. I asked her if I could get extra sauces as my husband and I both like hot and spicy food. They don't carry hot oil, only chili sauce so I told her that would be fine just give me extra. When I got home, there was only 2 of each sauce in the bag. That wasn't enough sauce for just my husband. Let's get something straight...5 entrées, 2 sides, 2pc Veggie Spring Rolls and 3pc Cream Cheese Rangoon and I only get 2 hot mustard and 2 chili sauce. Somethings not right. I ordered 3 entrées that were supposed to be hot and spicy and none of them had any heat to it at all. They gave me 3 fortune cookies in my bag for dessert. Read moreRecently I've been to this location on three different occasions for lunch. Also we had Panda Express recently catered at work.
The food has generally been excellent. I've tried the orange chicken (their classic) and the teriyaki chicken. Both have been excellent. In fact the chicken teriyaki has been done perfectly each time which is not necessarily an easy thing to do. I also got the Chow Mein noodles instead of rice and that has been fine except for one time when it was a little on the greasy side.
The service each time has been excellent, and the timing to get the order has been exceptionally fast.
My only complaint is how they finalized the order and quality control it before they put it in the bag.
Each time I've ordered the chili sauce and the teriyaki sauce to be included. The first time that I ordered no sauces were included and I didn't find out until I left the location. The second time I ordered I asked for the chili sauce and Teriyaki sauce at the pick up counter and lucky I did because, once again, no sauces in the bag. The third time I got the teriyaki sauce but no chili sauce.
Relatively minor issues but it would be nice to be sure that the orders are complete. Seems it should be a simple fix. But from now on, I'm always going to ask for extra sauce packets at the counter...
