First time at this location, & honestly, I don't eat at Pei Wei, very often, but I enjoyed my quick snack stop, w/ my mom, that day (last Tuesday of August)! So I wanted to go to Sprouts, which is right across, in the parking lot, & I wasn't too hungry, so Pei Wei is actually great, for filling appetizers. We got 2 large edamame & 1 Vietnamese Chicken Salad Rolls, w/ 3. The bad thing only, about those, is, depending on who makes them, decides their size - really big & awesome, or small, thin, & sad, especially for the nearly 8 dollar price. I wish there was a standard size.
Even though this store is in a shopping center's parking lot, its own parking, isn't much, not matching the many tables inside & even more tables outside, under its covered patio. There's a Fantastic Sam's next door, so at first it's like, "wait, where's the entrance?" Inside is spacious, bright, & has cool/cold air blowing - Efficient AC. There's lots of tables & chairs, & while there are booth style cushioned seats, too, they're kinda hard, & easy to stick too, if you're wearing shorts.
There are two fancy drink machines, w/ lots & lots of options, plus 2 containers of different teas; there are metal silverwears, sauce bottles, straws, lids, napkins, disposable chopsticks, & etc, at one end of the store. Diners have the options of adjusting the shade blinds, as needed, for more sun or shade, so that's super nice! The floors were quite sticky, w/ the table tops messy w/ crumbs, too, but meh...just wipe it on the floor, that's what I did.
Back to the food - it is high in price, but again, great for a quick bite - dine in or take out. The edamame I got was super yummy & fulfilled their purpose, filling me up, for a few hours. I have purchased entrees from Pei Wei in the past (at a different location) & personally? Meh. Stick w/ the appetizers! They're quick, quite filling, & the better price.
I recommend grabbing some little plates, for a quick bite, before or after, shopping around, the huge shopping centers, all over this...
Read moreWe used to love Pei Wei 10+ years ago. It was high quality food with good portions. They actually be packed at dinner time. Sometime over the last several years the quality started to go down and the portions got smaller. We stopped eating there after one last try pre-pandemic because it was bad so we gave up. Yesterday we thought, maybe they’ve gotten better since it’s been a couple years, let’s try it! The menu sounds so good! Major letdown. Even worse food than five years ago. My husband had the drunken noodles and the chicken was disgusting! Panda Express has better chicken and that’s a low bar. The chicken was so obviously microwaved. It was both rubbery and crunchy (not crispy, crunchy as chicken shouldn’t be) and had the hallmark chickeny/gamey taste that chicken gets when reheated in a microwave. I took a bite and had to spit it out. He tried to stomach ut but ultimately gave up and didn’t eat it, just ate the noodles. The veggie spring rolls had a weird taste that I’ve never encountered in a spring roll before, and it wasn’t a good taste. We had other items too but suffice it say they were all very bad. I could have saved my $42 and had a more enjoyable meal somewhere else. Anywhere else. I’m so disappointed because as I said, they used to be good a decade ago. Really good. They ruined a great thing and this was their last chance, in our books. Never again. Dog food would taste better than that chicken. Oh and my husband has had diarrhea three times today, so, thanks, Pei Wei! Eat at...
Read moreI ordered through your website from the Arrowhead location in Glendale, AZ. The delivery time stated 4:42pm (which was 39 minutes after I placed my order) and by 4:55 the order was still not delivered. I then contacted the location directly for an update and was told by Kylie that my meal was prepared and at this point there is no way to tell when my order would be picked up or by whom it would be picked up. I explained to Kylee that I understood this was not Pei Wei's fault but I would like to know who would be delivering so that I could contact that delivery company. Kylie repeated that there was no way for her to know who would deliver and that nobody would know, thatvit just gets picked up. I found that hard to believe and I asked for her name and a supervisor. She said nothing and put me on hold. She was very rude during the entire interaction.
Mary came on the phone and informed me that Door Dash would be picking up my order but she didn't know when. I thanked her for that info and asked for the prior lady's name (since Kylie herself wouldn't give it). I then called Door Dash myself for an update.
After all this, my order did not get delivered until 5:16. Over 30 minutes late from the estimated time frame. My food arrived cold and the only thing anyone from Pei Offered in the way of help during this entire process was to cancel my order. Terrible...
