I walked in around noon on Wednesday July 9th, 2025. Was greeted immediately by both Jonathan and his father, even though they were busy with another customer. Jonathan split off to see what I was there for. I needed 3 watch batteries replaced, as well as a link removed from one of the bands. He quickly stated they could do that, and have it done that afternoon if I wanted (I'm guessing even sooner, but I stated I wouldn't be available until the next day so no need for rushing). I still received a text later Wednesday that the work was done and waiting for me when I could pick it up. When I went back Thursday, I was greeted by the same enthusiasm, and he went and collected my pieces right way so I could evaluate them. Everything was done how I expected (along with the watch settings updated). A bracelet had caught my eye as well, and although it was too small for my wrist, he did mention he could look into getting something more along my lines (either an extra link to fit, or a longer one--it's my fault for not paying attention to what he was saying because I wasn't ready to seriously purchase it, so I didn't want him to waste his time on it). Overall a very warm and friendly environment, and when he was trying to sell it he wasn't pushy at all. I will definitely be coming back for other repair work, and when I'm ready for some additions, I feel strongly that I could find something to my liking that would be priced right as well. Very glad I found...
Read moreIâve been going to Douglas Diamonds for years for the usual stuffâwatch batteries, adjusting bracelet links, that kind of thing. Theyâve always been solid, but today they absolutely saved me. So hereâs what happened: I waited 4.5 months for this custom ring from some Instagram jeweler (lesson learned there), and it finally arrived Thursday. Beautiful ring, exactly what I wanted, except for one major problemâit was way too small. And Iâm supposed to propose on Saturday. Iâm not gonna lie, I was freaking out. I grabbed the ring and practically ran to Douglas Diamonds, hoping against hope they could somehow fix this mess. I explained the whole situationâthe long wait, the weekend proposal plans, everything. Honestly, I was expecting them to tell me there was no way. But they didnât. They looked at the ring, looked at how stressed I was, and said theyâd do their best to get it done. No promises, but theyâd try. That was way more than I expected. Friday felt like the longest day ever. Then around noon, my phone rings and itâs them saying the ring was ready! So here I am, writing this the day before Iâm planning to propose, and the ring fits perfectly. I canât believe they pulled this off with such short notice. These guys didnât just resize a ringâthey basically saved my entire proposal weekend. I know Iâll be back here for wedding bands and whatever else comes up over the years. Douglas Diamonds really came through when it mattered most, and I wonât...
Read moreI called earlier today to inquire about having a ring, which was a gift, resized. Ghilaine (sp?) informed me Keith could do the work. She was very professional but had a great sense of humor on the phone.
I brought the ring in and was told it would be a week. I was disappointed because I wanted to wear it going out for my birthday and had only expected to have a sizing guard put in. Keith told me since it was my birthday he would have it for me today.
I returned about 25 minutes before closing, still expecting a guard put on. This was not what Keith did. He did a true resizing that would put Tiffanyâs, Harry Winston or Cartier to shame. His work is so flawless that when I took it to another jeweler for an appraisal they did not even detect the work.
This is a true old school, hometown family business that cares about their clients and treats each guest as an individual not a number. Theyâre personable and professional, skilled at their trade, know their individual limitations and are perfectionists not to mention they provide the lost art of customer service that is lacking today! PATRONIZE THEM! You wonât be disappointed! Thank you Keith...
