I had the biscuits and gravy with side of hash Browns and a famous cinnamon roll. The biscuit was really good. Light, fluffy, and a hefty portion size. The gravy on the other hand was incredibly salty and just killed it for me. The sausage used was a bit on the warmer side, not really mild but not over the top hot. Not sure if they added salt during the making of it and then combined with the salt in the sausage was just to much. Full disclosure, I don't cook with salt at home, and the only thing I add salt to is homemade fries. So... I maybe somewhat sensitive to it. The coffee was OK, not Starbucks or Tim Hortons level, but not as bad as trucks top coffee at noon The hash Browns would have been really good if both sides had been cooked. One side was brown and crunchy, while the other side was soft but undercooked potatoes. There was almost no seasoning that I could taste or see. The cinnamon roll was excellent!! Cooked thru, no doeey center here. Cinnamon was on point! And a big Ole Dollop of iceing. My favorite part of this breakfast. If it hadn't been for the cinnamon roll, this would have been a 2 stars review. Three stars for service, I'll explain. The lady at the register that took our order was very nice, and she brought our food to the table, but that was it for service. It was like ordering at 5 Guys. Pay up front, including asking for a tip before you have recieved anything, I must say this is a pet peeve of mine. You get a paper cup for your self serve coffee. And there is nothing on the tables, everything is centrally stored at a kiosk to help your self. The best thing I can say about it is, it was stocked and clean. For the prices charged, they could hire a waitress to serve you, so the service recieved was good, just not much of it. I may go back for a cinnamon roll, but that would be the...
Read moreI came in to pick up an order and wanted a cup of coffee. The girl tried to charge me $3.14 for a cup. I told her no thanks I'll go deliver for McDonalds and get it for free!!!! No wonder why this place is never busy. As a business owner and having a large family I would offer people a discount or offer something for free it's how you gain more business. There has been very many restaurants that constantly offer something as simple as a cup of water and I've gone back with my family and bought breakfast, lunch or dinner at their establishment just because it was offered and the employees were nice enough to offer anything. As an owner/operator myself I am always offering people something whether it be someone delivering for me or someone that's homeless asking if they want to come inside out of the heat and eat a meal on me. Sometimes it pays to be nice and treat people like humans its actually more satisfying than counting how many dollars you have in your pocket. What I do is for every doordash driver that delivers for me 5 times they get a free hero of their choice on the house to show appreciation for them. Uber does not pay them enough I know this because every once in awhile I will drive to see if the pay rate has changed at all. The people that work for those companies are not getting paid enough especially when people dont tip and most people dont . Work 1 day for each of those delivery companies out there and even try rideshare to see how much those people are actually making and you will find out it's not much at all without people leaving tips. Every little bit counts and helps and I believe in helping the little people even if it's as something so simple like a cup of coffee that might cost...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite brunch spots. Its tucked away in a quiet complex on the north side of Phoenix. While there are other locations throughout the valley this location is by far my favorite with its consistency of food quality.
One of the standout features of Scramble is its menu, which includes a wide variety of breakfast and brunch dishes with unique twists. For example, you can enjoy traditional dishes like pancakes, waffles, and omelets, as well as more unique options like the "Cinnabon Pancakes", which are topped with cinnamon cream cheese icing, and the "Pesto Egg Sandwich", which is made with eggs, pesto, and fresh mozzarella on a toasted ciabatta bun. The Sante Fe Eggs Benedict is my favorite. I've never tried eggs benedict on cornbread with jalapenos. The cornbread makes this eggs benedict the greatest I've ever eaten, and it makes it even better.
I firmly believe in live local, eat local, buy local and Scramble is committed to using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients in its dishes. The restaurant works with local farmers and food suppliers to ensure that all of its ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality.
In addition to its delicious food, Scramble also has a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is bright and airy, with modern décor and plenty of natural light. The staff is friendly and attentive, always on hand to offer recommendations and make sure that every customer has a great experience.
Overall, Scramble is a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious breakfast or brunch in Phoenix. With its creative menu, locally-sourced ingredients, and welcoming atmosphere, it's no surprise that this place has become a...
